Soul Eater became Way to the Dawn when Riku when he lost his Rikunort form. Rikunort was based purely on darkness, which is the same with Soul Eater, while Riku had both light and darkness, making Soul Eater become the twilight Keyblade, Way to the Dawn. That's my theory.
