Gex tried to meditate, to look for his calm center. The only problem was he didn't have one of those, only one of chaos. This was terrible, just the worst.
Gex sat down on the roof of the building and meditated. Mixt always did that when there was something on his mind, maybe it would work for him.
Gex watched her travel off into the distance from his vantage point Good, she was finally gone, finally safe.
"No, no you didn't kira." Gex held his stake aloof, ready to strike. "You just, you just need more protection"
He summoned a nother stake, a miniscule tear played at his left eye. "I'm sorry, it is how I am."
Gex closed his eyes, he didn't want to look at her while he did this. "I'm doing what I've always done kira. Kill things."
"From this." Without a second thought, the madman threw his stake at the girl.
Gex held his bone stake like a spear, his eyes heavy and dull. "yes, but I don't know if you can survive a fall."
She was wonderful... perhaps too wonderful. If she stayed with him she'd be destroyed as fragile things often are. The only way to protect her was. Gex closed his eyes. The only way was to push her away.
Gex smiled up at her. "yes, yes I'm alright."
He could feel how soft her hands were. They were so warm and full of life, full of ambition. Guess the saying was true. even in the deepest darkness...there was light. He never knew it would be a whole person.
"no, no it is nothing." Gex grabbed her hand, ready to head up.
Gex looked up at her and sharply looked away in embarrasement. He had never seen anything so fragile looking that wasn't already broken. he didn't know what to do.
Gex looked up at her, a nervous grin on his face "both?"

Hoping to follow her, Gex grabbed on to the vines. They were flimsy, so he didn't think it would support him.
