OOC: What's a Caracal?
OOC: That was a really lame dinner. Chile, uuuuuuggghhh... "Well, then," Xardius said, hopping off the ship. "See you later..." Energy engulfed him and Xardius found himself transformed into a rather large red-tinged cheetah. "I wonder if we'll all be felines," Xardius growled, looking himself over.
"Oh," Xardius said, taking the map and punching in the coordinates. "Hit the 'Warp' button, Geryl." Geryl did and suddenly the stars around them streamed in and out of focus and Xardius found himself slung hard against the straps. Shaking his head, he looked forward. "That's the world, I'm guessing. Where'd you guys land before?" Xardius called over his shoulder. OOC: I gotta go eat, so land wherever and I'll be back in about 15-20 minutes.
Wing and Oxryt nearly flew into the back wall, but both managed to buckle in just as Gerly hit the accelerator. "What world are we going to?" Xardius shouted back at Oxyrt and Wing, studying the navigation.
"Just go," Xardius said, looking back. Wing and Oxyrt were arguing over their seats. "It'll be fun to watch them hit their heads."
"Tell you what, take copilot. That way I won't have to get out of this chair..." Xardius said, peering around. "You can still fly in copilot can't you?"
Xardius followed them onto the ship. "I've flown one before, but not with this design, and not for a long time, so this ride might be a little rough." He strapped himself into the pilot's chair. "Everybody ready?"
Xardius followed Wing and Oxyrt outside, motioning for Vexneah to follow him. Geryl was already waiting for them at the gummi ship, tapping his feet impatiently. "Who's driving?" Xardius asked, studying the strange ship.
"Geryl, you're too hasty," Xardius muttered. "Yes, you can come in Vexneah. We're just talking about Retlaw, some mage out in the boonies that we need to find for information. Do you want to go with us?"
"They already found Yen Sid," Xardius said, folding his arms and tapping his fingers against his arm. "What we need to do is find Retlaw..." He turned to Oxryt. "What do you say? Wanna go for a spin?"
OOC: Have fun with that, gerlert. Really, don't die. BIC: Xardius shrugged. "Let's go together," he said, "I think we can handle anything in our path..." He turned to the others. "If any of you would like to come along, speak now..."
Xardius dumped Wing into his chair and walked to his own. Slumping in it, he looked around. Darxess was still staring into space, and Xardius walked over and closed his eyes for him. "Been asleep for a long time," Xardius muttered. "Must've been some battle." He slumped back in his chair and looked around. The place was rather empty, but he saw a piece of paper fall out of Wing's pocket. He picked it up. It said, "Retlaw." "Retlaw," Xardius said aloud. "Who's Retlaw?" OOC: OK, see ya light.
OOC: I'll just take your incapacitated body back to the castle then. See you later. BIC: Xardius began walking back up the hill, Chomper in one hand, Wing in his other. Peering over his shoulder, he called to Oxyrt, "Put out those flames will you?" Oxyrt nodded and the flames disappeared with a wave of his hand. Xardius trundled into the city. As he passed the Memory Skyscraper, a voice came to him. "So, you have won this battle..." Xardius turned and peered upwards at the skyscraper. On top, he saw a figure clad in armor, standing on there. Narrowing his eyes, he saw gold armor on the figure. "Wirdikov?" Xardius said, turning to face the skyscraper. Wirdikov nodded, and leaped down, landing gently next to Xardius. "Things haven't been the same since you left, Darius," Wirdikov said, placing a hand on his shoulder. Xardius flipped it off with the hand that held Wing, and stepped back. "Why are you here?" Xardius said, narrowing his eyes. Wirdikov shrugged. "I'd wondered where'd you gone. I care about you, Darius." "Darius isn't my name anymore," Xardius snarled. "It's true, then," Wirdikov said after a moment. "You really don't have a heart..." Xardius looked down, and when he looked back up, Wirdikov was gone. "Come back to us when you've recovered what you have lost..." Wirdikov's voice whispered down to him. "I can't come back," Xardius said, "not after what happened. I have ties to this now...this organization is my new family..." A twinge of something hit his chest and Xardius grabbed it. "My heart...isn't there anymore...These people took me in...and therefore I cannot leave them." "Very well...Xardius...farewell." Xardius sighed and walked onwards, moving towards the castle, lost in thought. OOC: By the way, my Guardians of Larenska thread is being controlled by the user Wirdikov...which is me. I hope you guys don't mind if I tie in the Guardians to this thread, as Xardius is a former member and Wirdikov is the leader...
Xardius hoisted Wing over his shoulder. "Let's go back to the castle, then." He turned to Larxa. "I don't believe we've met. I'm Xardius, 33rd of the Organization and a former Guardian of Larenska..." He held out his hand. "I'd be honored if you'd fight with me against the knights in our next battle." OOC: Boy, once Xardius gets all his energy out fighting, he's rather a nice guy...I just realized how polite he was being.
Xardius heard music, and he turned to see Bellatrix clapping her locket shut, closing the music. "I see your locket is working again..." Xardius said, folding his arms. "What exactly does that mean?"
Xardius was right behind Wing, charging into the knights, when chains erupted from the ground and killed everything in their path. Looking over, he saw Bellatrix slumping over. Saluting her, Xardius slammed his gauntleted fist into the belly of a knight, sending him careening into several other knights, which he quickly finished off. Panting, he watched the others rip through the remaining knights. Stabbing Chomper into the ground, he felt sunlight filter onto his face. Looking upwards, he saw the sun peering down at him. "But I thought," Xardius said, "it was always night..." Slowly the sun dissipated into stars, and Xardius nodded. "I think I understand," he said to himself, "why I died. Why I gave up my heart..." Looking down, he watched the rest of the knights die.
At the same time as Wing, Xardius ripped through the knights from behind, sending massive shockwaves of energy from his crystal through them, killing all but about fifty of the knights with Wing's attack... He landed next to Vexneah and Wing. "Perfect!" he smirked, and aimed his weapon at the remaining knights.
OOC: Sorry, I think I got a little ahead of myself. We'll just pretend I did that after Bellatrix's comment, and Wing's, OK? BIC: Xardius reappeared from the pack of knights at the end of their long trail. Leaping into the air, he prepared an attack he had seen his leader do once: "Rising Sun." Gathering his energy, he split a hole in the rain clouds and let sunlight warm him. Energy crackled from the sun into his crystal and Xardius gathered everything he could. By the time the clouds covered the sun again, Xardius was nearly glowing. Yelling, he aimed Chomper at the knights, "Wing! Perform Rising Sun when you're ready! We'll crush them between our attacks!" OOC: Remember Sora's Rising Sun against those 1000 Heartless you had to fight, right?
OOC: You guys ready? BIC: The fire was dying down, and the knights were spreading out. It was now or never. "Let's go," Xardius said, suddenly quiet. Chomper in one hand, Vexneah's hand in his other, he charged the knights, the group following. Releasing Vexneah's hand, he swung Chomper down, tearing into them, racing forward, through the heart, towards the end of them, ready to crush the force of knights between himself and the rest of the group...
Wing's comment sent Xardius' memories spinning. He suddenly remembered how he'd died...Grimacing, he realized it was time. "We'll take them together," he said.
