OOC: I didn't think so (and I'm pretty much one of the ones who came up with the idea, so...). If you guys want to go to Timeless River, or use the door to go into someone's past, that's fine with me...Actually, that could be fun. Meet yourself before you were a Nobody...Anyway, I don't actually have to go, so if you guys want to head over there, I'll meet you there. (I don't like gummis, they make me sick to my stomach.)
OOC: I doubt it, but I gotta go, so I'll pop back in later. Where are we going next? Are we checking out the mansion some more, since we really haven't?
OOC: Weird, it kicked me off for now reason. BIC: Xardius watched Vexneah run off. "Guess this is it," Xardius said, picking up Chomper. "Soon we'll be free." The grenade went off.
Xardius picked up the grenade. "I suggest...you run," Xardius said.
"Let it go," Xardius simply stated. "It's not worth it."
Xardius walked to him, and picked him up by the shoulders. "You have met and fought a denizen of darkness, and been spared by some whim of his completely insane mind...Perhaps there is some good in you. And therefore," he said. "I shall heal you." Energy pulsed from Xardius' hands and entered Vecked. Every wound in Vecked instantly healed, and Xardius set him gently back on the ground, walking away towards a furious Vexneah.
Xardius grinned over his shoulder at her. "Careful? Why? Highwind just needs a good spankin'..." With that, he launched at Highwind. Highwind sprayed darkness everywhere, but Xardius didn't seem affected. He slammed Chomper into Highwind's sword, spinning, slicing, and moving faster than he had since Highwind left, and their last chaotic fight... Highwind sneered. "You've grown weaker!" He slashed Xardius back into the ground, but Xardius just bounced up and flipped forward. "Don't underestimate me," Xardius warned, fire growing in his eyes. Highwind smiled. "Are you ready Xardius? Show me your true power!" Xardius smiled too. "You want it. Then have it!" Fire sprayed everywhere, and Highwind frowned, his shadows dissipating at the heat of it. Xardius grinned in the very heart of the flames, his fire shredding every aspect of shadow from everywhere. Highwind snarled. "I didn't kill him, you know," he spat. "I just sent him...into darkness." "Soon you'll be going to the darkness of no end, my friend," Xardius said quietly, and suddenly the two lanced at each other: shadow vs. flame. Both moved faster than the eye could see, blow after blow raining on each other. Suddenly, it was over. Xardius shattered through every shadow of Highwind, and Highwind was left alone...just a muscular man in black armor. Xardius landed, his own fire going out. "Your crystal is spent," he said. "One blow would end you." Highwind shrugged. "Very well," he said. "Have your friend back to play with." He disappeared as Vecked reappeared. "I'll be back, Darius..." Highwind's final words sent out.
Xardius shook his head. This wasn't good. He'd hoped that Vecked might have showed something, but apparently Highwind was just too powerful. Highwind turned, smirking. "Who's next?" he grinned, pointing his sword at the group. Xardius walked forward. "Eat me," he said. Highwind frowned. "Rather distasteful, I'll just settle for blowing you into about ten thousand sticky pieces..."
Highwind shrugged. "The truth is, I really don't care that much." Suddenly, he plunged his sword through Vecked's neck. Vecked gurgled, and suddenly Highwind's sword disappeared. "Don't die yet," Highwind said...and darkness swirled around Vecked. Highwind laughed as Vecked disappeared into the darkness.
"And what's that?" Highwind asked, suddenly curious as he warped next to Vecked, and smashed him in the face with the dark orb, spreading it to every fiber of his body, paralyzing him. "Tell me now," Highwind said, floating out, touching the tip of his sword to Vecked's throat. "And maybe I won't kill you...if it's good."
"Don't give me one of your ideals," Highwind snapped, summoning a dark orb while lashing out at Vecked. "I don't care. I've been killing needlessly for centuries now. It's how I find pleasure. I don't have any morales for you to play on..." Highwind smiled evilly. "And now I think I'll find great pleasure in ripping your guts from your body."
"That's the idea," Highwind said, summoning a sword that was long and slightly curved...and completely black. "Only if you want the ground to explode underneath your feet, and half the city to get destroyed along with it. Highwind doesn't do things small." Xardius said. Highwind suddenly lanced out, lightning fast. "Too late," Xardius said. "I say we pick off whoever loses."
"Actually," Highwind said. "I do. I think I'll take your limbs off one by one and stuff them down your throat, then implode your stomach from the inside and watch you squirm with pain. That should be fun shouldn't it?" Highwind smiled and walked towards Vecked. Xardius watched the two. "Should we intervene here?"
"I trained you, Wing, and Coa," Xardius said, bringing Chomper up to a guard position as Highwind walked forward, bloody rage in his eyes. "The special circumstances under which Coa died let him regain his body and heart all at the same time, but a remnant was left. That remnant was you Wing. Quite interesting, but you still have a heart..." He shrugged. "Coa sacrificed himself, much like I did...However," Xardius said, sighing. "I know where my heart is. Dumb Heartless." Highwind laughed, overhearing. "So, the great Xardius was conquered by a mere pawn of the darkness..." He sneered. "Well now, my old friend, you're about to be conquered by not a pawn..." He paused and stopped. Darkness seemed to rain from every corner of the earth, gathering together in his hands. "BUT A MASTER!" Suddenly Vecked jumped down. "Good to see you all," he announced. Highwind turned and stared at the newcomer. "Who are you?" he asked, completely confused. "And why are you GLAD to see me? No one's been GLAD in over a century..."
Xardius shook his head. "One of Highwind's bloody dark bombs. His crystal should repair most of the damage, but he'll need something extra..." He pulled out a Potion and dumped it down Coa's throat. He looked at Wing. "I knew you know," he said to Wing. "From the moment I met you, I knew..." Highwind's sheer roar of rage caused him to turn. Highwind was stalking towards them, darkness shattering the ground around him. "He's grown quite a bit more powerful than the last time we met," Xardius mused.
"A Shadow Stalker?" Xardius growled. "This isn't good." "Good evening, Darius," a voice said behind him. Xardius turned and saw pitch black armor, pitted and scratched, swirled about with darkness. "My name isn't Darius any longer," Xardius growled at Highwind. Highwind smiled. "Is that any way to greet an old friend?" Highwind said. "Why did you do this to Coa?" Xardius snapped, setting Coa gently down and readying Chomper. "Why are you here?" "A simple detour from my plan to find Tera Roth," Highwind smiled. Xardius shook his head. "You never did understand what being a Guardian meant." "Apparently you didn't either," Highwind said. "You left too..." "I left because I couldn't protect them anymore," Xardius said. "You left through cowardice and sheer bloody pride!" He shook his head. "I don't have time for you. I have to help my real friends!" Highwind shook his head. "Darius, Darius, Darius...You don't have any friends anymore...You don't have a heart." Xardius grinned. "No remorse then..." He turned and went back to Coa. Highwind's face contorted. "Don't you turn your back on ME!" OOC: I made a thread about Darius' old group of people called the Guardians of Larenska. If you want to know more about them, go to the thread. Anyhow, Highwind was an old member that ditched them to chase after some guy that he hates with a passion, and Coa is Wing in the Guardians...
The figure suddenly moved, and it whispered a name..."Coa. What are you doing here?" Coa flexed his fingers. "It's time you came back to the guardians...Highwind." Highwind smiled, and darkness swirled around him. "Impossible." *** Xardius snapped around and swung out Chomper in the same instant. An explosion sounded and a flash of navy armor came flying through the air. Xardius flipped forward and caught the man as he fell, tumbling head over heels. "Guys! Come take care of Coa! He's hurt!" Xardius growled. "Darius?" Coa mumbled.
OOC: Just read my last post and choose a group. We'll fill you in from there. BIC: Xardius turned to Vexneah. "Perhaps it is only us two that can feel it..." He tapped his chin. "I was once a Guardian, and Wing certainly has the spirit of one...Perhaps you are just not physically able to...feel what you need to...This feels like one of my own."
OOC: OK, after Wing reads my long PM, I'll get back to what's happening. Nulix, just choose a group: either Vexneah, Wing, and Xardius, or the others: Geryl, Kyzar, etc...Kyzar's getting attacked, Geryl is going into his dark form I guess, and Xardius and Wing both feel something odd happening, so they're waiting outside the woods. There you go. BIC: Xardius shook his head. "Plunge deep inside....Something's not right."
OOC: Yeah...I'll PM you real quick, tell you what's going on.
