Xardius turned. "Oh, Vecked. Glad you could make it..." Vexneah snarled something, but Xardius waved her back. Wing silently pulled out his keyblades.
"I'm not really sure what's going on, but...I'm in," Wing said, stepping forward. "Me too," Vexneah said. "We leave within the hour," Xardius said. "Depending on the situation, I suggest you prepare yourselves for some action..." OOC: Sorry Nul...
Xardius' eyes snapped open. Uh oh, he thought. That's not good... Wing turned to him. "What's wrong Xardius?" "We've got a major problem..." Xardius growled, stomping away from the wall. "Geryl is looking for the 'Key Destroyer'..." "What?" Vexneah stammered. "What is that? And how do you know?" "I've been scanning the impulses of darkness and light emanating from the current members, and I just felt a major dark surge from Geryl. Scanning into their conversation revealed him opening a portal to find the most powerful destructive force in the universe...the Key Destroyer..." He began typing quickly into the computer. "Even I'm not exactly sure what its true power is, but one thing is for sure...It mustn't fall into any of our allies' hands...It has complete dark power that would control anyone into destroying everything. That thing destroys keyblades..." He hit a button. "OK, I know where they're going...We have to stop them. We may have to fight Geryl, if his dark side is taking over again...I wish I'd finished sealing off his dark side back in Midgar, but that Dark Thorn interrupted me." He frowned again. "We've got another problem. Vecked's there too......Nulix, Vecked, Geryl, and the Key Destroyer...Who's in?"
Xardius sighed and rubbed his temples. I need a break... Xardius thought. This is getting old. He noticed Geryl was standing near the edge of the room, leaning against the wall. Walking up to him, he sighed. "You know," Xardius said. "Maybe what we feel isn't what we actually fell but what we think we should feel...You know what I mean? Ah, what does it matter..." Xardius scratched his head. "If I ever get my heart back, I won't feel remorse for any of my actions..." He looked up at the ceiling. "Sorry to bore you, but...I gotta get this off my chest. I've hurt a lot of people. Murdered people. But I've always had a cause...If you really think about it, hurting people was my job before I came here. So it makes sense that I still act this way.......But what about the others? Vexneah doesn't seem like the type to go around killing people...But she has, now that she's a Nobody. Is it because she can't feel remorse, can't feel the pain or wrenching feeling in your gut every time you take a life? I don't know. Maybe we're only pretending...to keep ourselves sane." "But then again," Xardius said, "there's nothing wrong with fighting people...that you know...would kill you...if you didn't kill them first." He sighed. "But are they truly murderers, if they kill a...Nobody? We were never supposed to exist...It's not our fault...We don't even exist in a very real sense...Yet we do, in another...So, which is the truth? Are we really Nobodies? Are we...really non-existent?" "Perhaps the answer will never come to us," Xardius said. "But I'm not going to stop looking..." He suddenly grinned. "Man what a monster. Sorry Geryl." Geryl just shrugged, and pulled two weapons out of his cloak. "Here," he said. Xardius took the weapons. "Chakrams? Never had much use for throwing weapons...but...thanks anyway Geryl." Xardius grinned, and flipped the weapons up. "Fire..." Xardius said. "Keep us warm." OOC: Geez, I need to stop writing such large posts. You can shoot me later though.
Wing ran up to her and gave her a hug. "Thanks to Xardius, most likely..." Wing stated. "He brought my body, so..." Xardius didn't seem to be listening. He was stomping up to Xane at the moment. "What happened?" he asked. "Well," Vexneah said. "Xane zapped some kind of laser at all of us and they disappeared!" Xardius rolled his eyes, grabbed Xane who was starting to back away from the towering Xardius, and threw him into a wall. "That take care of things?" Xardius asked as Xane crumpled. "No!" Vexneah huffed. "Now we can't ask him why he did that!" "Oh," Xardius said. "Too bad..." He walked over to Hack. "I don't believe we've met. I am Xardius, 33rd member of the Ultimate Organization. Somewhat pleased to meet you I guess. Vecked did betray us, ran away like usual, but forced Wing to eat some kind of dark fruit thing and I had to save him from some giant Heartless thing or whatever..." Wing walked over to Hack as well. "Something like that."
Xardius burst into the room to see Hack and Xane fighting each other, and Vexneah fighting each other. Everyone else was gone... Xardius folded his arms, and bellowed, "Either stop fighting or I'll smash you both!" Wing came up behind him, and whispered, "What's going on?" "No idea," Xardius said, "but two members should not be fighting each other..."
"Just get in your body before that Heartless regenerates," Xardius said. "Apparently I gave it too much power..." Xardius shrugged. "Took a lot out of me, but I should be able to get us back." Wing nodded and spirited into his body. Xardius helped him up. "All right, now let's see here..." Light sprayed out of Xardius' hand and a portal opened up. Xardius walked through behind Wing, and appeared in a strange room with many portals on the walls. "The Garden of Assemblage," Wing muttered, and Xardius nodded. Suddenly, yells and the sound of battle made them turn. "We'll come back," Xardius said, running for the exit.
OOC: Can I call you Hack? Anyway, Geryl fought some data streams and so he now has some Org.13 weapons that he can give away. Um, Axel's weapons are taken, along with Vexen's, Luxord's, and Roxas's...I think that's it, but Geryl could probably tell you better, since he's here.
OOC: Hey Keyblade49, save Axel's weapons for me, OK? Those are my favorite, and as you're giving them away...As soon as Neo comes back online, I'll come back with him, to wherever you guys are, but until then...I'm kind of stuck. I'm hoping he comes back online soon. By the way, sorry about the length of the post earlier. I type pretty fast so I don't even notice how long things are getting until I post them...
The idea that you have a lot of darkness in your heart is a good one, but I'm still confused about one thing. Doesn't the Heartless exist before the heart is taken, and then they take the hearts, and continue the form? I mean, like a Shadow exists before it takes a heart, right? Because otherwise it wouldn't be able to turn other people into Heartless by taking their hearts...Unless it can have more than one, and the first one was a person who willingly sucked themselves into darkness and became a Heartless...What do you guys think?
Xardius opened his eyes to complete chaos. New and old members alike were scurrying everywhere, Wing was lying on the ground, a dark fruit in his hand, and Nulix was lying on the ground, bleeding. Xardius got up. Geez, talk about taking a nap at the wrong time... "Xardius!" Coa jumped, seeing Xardius get up. "I thought you were unconscious so I carried you out!" "Unconscious?" Xardius muttered. "I like heat, remember?" he said staring at the gummi ship that was blazing. "Makes me sleep better. But I guess..." Xardius raised a hand, and the flames went out. "Crystal completely recharged," Xardius said smugly. He walked towards Nulix, and waved a hand. The hole in Nulix's chest instantly closed and Xardius caught the bullet that came rocketing out, crushing it in one hand before throwing it on the ground. "Vecked, Vecked, Vecked," Xardius said, kneeling down by Wing. "What am I going to do with you? Wing, you idiot, you didn't have to do this..." He shook his head again. "Fine...then let's go..." Xardius picked the fruit up. The others noticed him. "No! Don't eat that Xardius! It's a dark fruit that will kill you, just like Wing!" Bellatrix yelled, running towards him. Xardius stood. "I know what it is. And I know what it does...So, see ya!" Xardius plopped the fruit in his mouth, and swallowed. Energy shot into him, and Xardius smiled. "Heh, superb...Now for the dessert..." Grabbing Wing's body, he opened a dark portal and jumped through. It closed with a bang. A small paper fell to the ground. OOC: OK, the paper's important. I gotta help Wing, so I'll be back later. You guys have fun wandering around or something. BIC: Darkness was everywhere.... "Well now Wing," Xardius said walking in the darkness, holding Wing's body. "I entered the darkness that your soul has gone to...Come towards the light..." Xardius held out a hand and light expanded from it to fill every point of darkness. Heartless immediately appeared, racing for him. A massive Heartless appeared before him, and asked, "Do you seek power? Close off the light and join with me to complete your quest for ultimate glory! I shall lead you to the path of dark destruction and fury! Join with me!" Xardius hoisted Chomper out of its sheath, gently depositing Wing on the ground. "You want me to join you? Come and get me then!" The Heartless charged in, and Xardius grinned down at Wing. "Not sure if you can hear me but...You'll definitely hear this!" Xardius sucked in the light again, and began to glow..."HEARTLESS! Are you worthy to face ME?" Xardius yelled. "LET THIS DECIDE!" Light ripped outwards with the sheer force of a condensed supernova. Afterwards, the light dissipated, the Heartless destroyed, and all that could be heard was the laughter of an ex-Guardian...
OOC: Sorry guys. Just a sec, I'll fix it... BIC: Xardius stood up slowly. "It's all right, Wing. Thank you, but I just had a nightmare...I'm fine now." He stomped off towards the garden. Walking out under the moonlight, he suddenly felt contained...trapped in this small world. He walked out of the garden, and back into the hall, towards the main gates of Disney Castle. Walking outside, he stood under the starlight, and still felt the containment. Darkness swirled out and Xardius stepped through it, into a world that was both new and familiar...Stars twinkled down at him as he stepped on the soft grass. He knew he was safe here... Slowly, he unloaded his armor and laid down, feeling suddenly at home. He closed his eyes and slept... OOC: All right, Geryl, just delete the part where I come and sit down next to you...that'll fix it. I'll be back in a couple of hours, see ya guys.
Xardius suddenly sat up, the blanket spilling off of him. Do you feel me? Xardius growled, and Wing turned. "He's here," Xardius whispered hoarsely. Hahaha, I can feel you... Xardius stood up, and Chomper appeared in his hand. "Where are you?" Xardius growled. All right, I'll tell you... Xardius bolted from the gummi ship, running towards the hall doors. Hahahaha...what? A new presence? Xardius, be careful. You cannot defeat this one alone. You need help. Remember what happened last time...Be careful my friend. Xardius paused, and slammed Chomper into the ground. Looking back, he saw Wing staring through the view port at him. Coward. Courage. Go back to your slumber. You can't stop me. Sleep maybe the best course now. Morning awaits you. Death will find you. I will be there to protect the ones you love. You can't love...you don't have a heart. Remember what you believe in...and it will guide you through the darkest depths of eternity. I'll be waiting... Xardius let the voices fade, then slowly slumped to his knees, and collapsed on the ground.
Xardius opened his eyes and looked over at Wing. The conversation he had just listened to had been amusing, especially the part where they thought he would kill them if they pressed buttons on the console. I wouldn't kill them, Xardius thought. Just throw them out the window... Smiling slightly, he got up and stretched. Opening a compartment, he pulled out a pile of blankets and pillows. Propping a pillow under Wing's head, he pulled the blanket over him. "Wing," he said softly. "When we're through here, we've got some things to do...I promise I'll stick around till then." Moving on to Bellatrix, he grinned and muttered, "Good luck with that," as he pulled the blanket over her. Throwing more blankets over Nulix and Coa, he gave the last blanket and pillow to her, making sure she was comfortable. He paused before leaving, and said softly, "I'm sorry for my behavior. I guess...I really am just an ornery sucker, who would hurt anyone and anything." He sighed. "But I really am trying, trying to help...trying to help everyone. And maybe my helping is doing more harm than good, but..." He shrugged. "I'm still going to help in every way I can." He bowed towards her. "I would give my life for you...any of you," he said turning and scanning the room. "I hope that's enough," he said softly as he moved back to the pilot's chair. Picking up the paper he had dropped on the floor beside the chair, he stared at the picture in it. "Who are you?" Xardius asked. "Not this..." He looked back towards the room. "Vecked...What do I sense from you? Darkness...but darkness riddled with holes of the some of the purest light I've ever seen." "Nulix...I do not hold you responsible...actions alone do not prove your soul's inner depths, and what I sense from you is pure." "Vecked, when the time comes for the light to be unlocked and you to finally grasp your fullest potential...I will be there to help you..." Xardius' lips split into a feral grin. "For better or worse, I will be there to guide you into light...whether you like it or not...And for Nulix's sake, I hope I do not have to kill you." He blinked and looked down at the paper once more. "Perhaps I am more like you than I first thought." He sat down in the chair and crumpled the paper up, throwing it into a corner. "Amazing what I can cook up when I'm all alone," Xardius murmured, and closing his eyes, he envisioned what he had drawn. Shadows splayed with fire, he had drawn a self-portrait, riddled through with shadow, and his face split into a ferocious grin as he walked through the blood of the torn and shredded bodies of his friends... Shaking his head, he cleared the image. He would never turn into that...He would never become like his Heartless. OOC: Sorry about the length, I had a lot on my mind...
OOC: I gotta go but I'll be back later.
OOC: We're finished up with Disney Castle, so we're going to go to the next area. However, right now, we've got a new member coming in to see us. Just pop up in the gummi ship where everyone else is...I guess.
Xardius shrugged. "Thought so," he muttered to himself. Another gummi ship blipped onto the scanners. "Looks like we got ourselves a visitor..."
Xardius pulled out a pen and began doodling on a piece of paper. After a couple of minutes, listening to the girl's conversation, he asked, "What is Vecked doing here?" He put down the pen and paper. "Last time I saw him, he had handed me a grenade..."
Xardius shrugged and plopped his butt into the pilot's chair.
Xardius walked out of the room, fuming. What are those dopes thinking, he thought angrily. Their minds would splinter if they recombined now... He sighed. Too many people, not enough brains. He saw Bellatrix walking towards the gummi ship. "Is that everyone?" he asked Vexneah. "Bellatrix's coming back."
