Thanks Xigbar, they're really great!
Tera Roth didn't look back. He walked forward, towards the virus. "I don't think you understand a word you are saying," Tera Roth said.
"Alyt's just fine," Tera Roth said, his voice cracking. He cleared his throat. "She must be. I won't accept any other answer." He pointed the sword at the virus. "Why wouldn't I have hostility towards a dark slimeball like you?"
Tera Roth's keyblades swung out in a circle around him. Releasing the two he held, he picked up the blade with the sapphire. "Twilight blade..." He suddenly laughed. "Purify the light?" he mocked. "Or corrupt? Either way, it is you who will be defeated this day...until your blight on every world is finally released and you are utterly destroyed." *** Zane attacked the nearest Heartless, a modified Invisible. With almost careless ease, the Invisible snagged Zane's keyblade and spun him off the cliff. Zane yelped and flew back up, thoroughly surprised.
Heartless sprang up from the cracks of the building...Strange Heartless. Heartless that looked mutated. "Heartless from the Virus," Tera Roth mused. "Perfect." Snapping his hands out, twin keyblades sprang from his hands, a blaze of light and glory. Six more slammed into the ground around him, and a sword with a blazing sapphire jewel set in the base of the blade settled in front of him. "Are you prepared to die?" Tera Roth asked the Heartless. "I have embraced the light...Darkness will be purged!" *** Zane was a blur of inhuman speed that ripped through half the Heartless before anyone else had even moved. Xardius blinked. This kid's good... he thought to himself. Zane paused as more Heartless appeared. These were different, like the Shadow Soldiers, but seemed to be more mutated. Instead of Darkballs, Shadow Stalkers were popping out of thin air. Instead of Invisibles, a strange armored creature with long wings was appearing. "What are these?" Zane asked to no one in particular. More Shadow Soldiers pounced forward at Xardius, and Xardius began his ballet of fury.
Suddenly, Heartless sprang from the ground around them. Shadow Soldiers. Xardius spun and pulled out Chomper, Zane a strange keyblade that was pitted and scored with a broken keychain. "Looks like we've got some things to do first," Xardius said. *** Tera Roth walked into the plaza of Traverse Town, staring around. "Things look bad," he said. "Worse than the last time I was here." Everything was pitted and scarred, and many houses were burnt out. The lights that once sparkled throughout the city were smashed and glass was everywhere. The tiles underneath Rentu and Tera's feet were splintered and broken. Tera Roth turned and looked back at Rentu. "Exorcism is needed to lighten this place of its dark burden."
OOC: Sure go ahead. BIC: Zane walked to the edge of the perimeter and pointed down at a massive castle that was cut out of the stone on the edge of the cliff. "That's where the member resides," he said.
OOC: Isn't he a hoot? BIC: Xardius followed Zane down the path towards the outskirts of town. "You said you fought Brotherhood members before..." Zane nodded. "Zaxor...Xehanort..." "Xehanort?" Xardius said sharply. "He's dead now," Zane said. "Thought I wasn't the one who finished him off. Zaxor is still around, though, I think, though I killed him once." "Zaxor?" "Another member. He's fought Keyblade wielders before. Killed 'em too." "Interesting..." Xardius said. "Xehanort was the lowest ranking member of the Brotherhood. Zaxor's a little higher up than the guy here. Not sure how many there are." "Where is Zaxor?" "Like I said, I killed him," Zane said. "But I don't think I finished his soul off. The Brotherhood has been experimenting on regeneration tactics. Xehanort's completely dead, his soul destroyed, so there's no hope there. But Zaxor's soul survived, I'm sure. The Brotherhood's probably reviving him right now."
Zane took it and bowed over it. "It is an honor," he said. He turned to Heaven. "Forgive me," he said, "but your current status leaves you at an inbetween that can be confusing to a denizen of twilight such as myself. Your current circumstances seem to have left you at a loss for your true power and your true personality. Neither are correct, but neither are wrong, and I'm afraid you'll get a rude awakening when you two next join." He turned to Xardius. "Ziya mentioned you." Xardius raised his eyebrow. "Really? Were you the ignorant brat he got the crap beat out of him by?" Zane shrugged. "It was a moderately difficult battle. However, he spoke of how highly he held your skills in regard." He turned back to the chief and bowed again. "Thank you for everything. I now take my leave." He twisted and brushed out of the door. Xardius bowed to the chief as well and swept out after him.
The chief grinned. "His name...is Zane. Zane! Come in here please!" Zane walked in from a room further in. "What's up?" he asked. "Meet the people who are going to get you out of here," the chief said. Zane's eyes glanced over every one. Xardius felt like they were piercing his soul. "Nobodies," Zane said slowly, no emotion touching his face. "Perfect." "They want to help defeat the Brotherhood member here," the chief said. "Perfect again," Zane said with no emotion. "I've already fought several. Xehanort, for one. Zaxor, for another."
The chief raised a hand, "Wait! You can't do this by yourself! I will send with you a man who has come to town recently...just like you. He claims he was born from twilight itself...and he wields a keyblade."
OOC: Sorry, we're reading Harry Potter again, got distracted... BIC: Xardius snorted. "Then I guess you'll have to leave..." He sighed. "And you're not completely normal...You're only half of yourself." He shook his head. "Anyhow, we need to take care of this Brotherhood guy that's holding up Sky Island before we do anything else, and I'll need everyone's help for that...Who's in?"
"Definitely bad," Xardius said. "I don't want to become a Heartless...light or not. Though, actually," he said sheepishly, scratching the back of his head, "since we're denizens of twilight, or Nobodies, we can probably travel though both."
OOC: I might have to get off in a bit though... BIC: Xardius shook his head. "The opposite. Heartless are denizens of darkness exposed to the light, and the opposite beings are denizens of light exposed to extreme darkness." He tapped his chin. "I suppose the same would happen to us if we crossed into the dark worlds...We'd become a light Heartless..."
"That must be it!" Xardius said suddenly, nearly yelling. "I got the answer!" He smacked his fist into his other hand. "People from both the dark and light worlds have been leaking through the borders, by falling into twilight. However, a light person can't go into the dark unaffected, and a dark person can't go into light unaffected! The exposure of light to a dark world denizen might be enough to rip his heart away from his tortured body, leaving a chasm that seeks a new heart...or a Heartless! The same must be happening for people from the light worlds, only they're turning into opposite Heartless, like you said Vexneah!" The chief shook his head. "I'm so confused..." "Don't worry," Xardius said, winking at him. "Not everyone's a complete genius like me..." EDIT OOC: Gotta eat dinner, be back in a few...
The man stared deep into Vexneah's eyes. "A-a-all right," he said, finally, stammering. "There's one here," he said. "A Brotherhood member." He shook his head. "A librarian or something. He's completely insane." He looked up at them. "All I know is that the Brotherhood is attempting to get to the light worlds through Kingdom Hearts. They've succeeded. It has been 1000 years since they conquered the dark worlds..." Xardius frowned. "Do they control the...Heartless?" The man frowned. "I don't know what you mean. They control normal men and women, just like you and me." Xardius shook his head. "I'm from the light worlds." The man shrieked and threw himself backwards. "YOU DIDN'T MENTION THAT!" "Why?" Xardius cocked an eyebrow. "Does it matter?" The man took great shuddering gasps. "Denizens of light steal hearts!" "No, denizens of darkness do...or the Heartless," Xardius said, frowning even further. The man shook his head. "That can't be so. Denizens of light have been seeping through Kingdom Hearts and taking people's hearts. They are in the form of white monsters." Xardius shook his head. "Denizens of darkness have been seeping into our worlds and taking people's hearts. They're in the form of dark monsters..." Both looked confused.
Tera Roth threw back his head and laughed. "You fool! You think the light worlds are the only worlds out there?" He walked forward and hoisted Skinnar onto his feet. "There is still hope. There is always hope." He smiled a feral grin. "Do you understand the true nature of the World's Heart? Do you understand what the keyblade can do?" He shook his head. "You do not, else you could not, would not kill yourself here now." He opened a portal. "We have work to do."
"I can't help you!" the village chief said. "They'll hurt me!" "We'll protect you," Xardius said. "Don't worry, if they're going to hurt anyone, it won't be you." The village chief looked doubtful. *** Tera Roth stepped out of a portal next to Rentu Skinnar. "Pathetic fool," he sneered. "Giving up already?"
OOC: That's all right Star. BIC: Xardius landed next to the man at a humble building that was perched on the edge of the precipice. "This is the village chief's house," the man said. He floated away. Xardius walked inside and found a man of an age he guessed to be around 30 sitting inside. "Expected you to be older," Xardius said. "Yes, well, appearances can be deceiving. Like yourself. I would guess you to be about 7 or 8 hundred years old, correct?" "Sure," Xardius said. "Well, you look about 30. I am over 3000 years old..." Xardius whistled. "Respect your elders," the man said with a grin. "Now, what can I do for you?" "What can you tell us about the Brotherhood?" Xardius asked directly. The man started. "The Brotherhood!" "Yes," Xardius said. "N-n-nothing," the man said. "I'd appreciate it if you leave now." EDIT OOC: I'll be back in about 20 to 30 minutes.
OOC: Not much Keyblade. We just arrived at Sky Island and fell off a cliff but were saved by Heaven's new earth powers and now we are going to follow this guy by flying which is only possible on Sky Island. That's the gist of it. Just jump in. We're just going to a village. Don't know where Star went, though...
