    Xardius shrugged, then suddenly stiffened.

Shadows appeared behind him, large monstrous shapes that had the look of Nobody Samurais, but moved with much more grace...

He smiled as he twisted to face the new Heartless.

Zane followed Azull without breaking a beat. He laughed scornfully. "Do you know how long it took for me to infiltrate the Brotherhood? Nearly a millennium. By that time, I was the lowest member." He shook his head. "It was easy to sway Xehanort into his death with Sora. In fact, almost too easy."

He laughed again. "Then there was Zaxor. He was more powerful than he looked, and actually ended up breaking my keychain. Luckily for me, I managed to drag him down into the light worlds, then destroy him after I regained my keyblade..."

Sheer fury crossed his face. "How they revived him, I don't know. Then I came back, to Kingdom Hearts, and found that the Brotherhood was moving even quicker than I imagined. I realized that I needed to move fast. I set things in motion, brought Xardius and some others here, and then tested them with the Heartless earlier."

He shook his head. "You didn't even know they were here, until I told you. Yes, it was me who sent that message. I wanted you to feel that you had a fair chance...."

Zane's keyblade erupted out of the shocked Azull's back as he plunged it through his chest. "Before I killed you," he finished in a sneering whisper.

"And if you're asking why," Zane finished, yanking the key out, "then I'll tell you. I am a servant of justice, brought into being for one purpose and that purpose alone. To destroy those who would seek to bring down the light worlds...or the dark. The Brotherhood has been brooding too long."

Tera Roth twisted to face the newcomer.

OOC: Geez that was long. Sorry about it, but I needed to explain Zane...

OOC: Cause I didn't know you were there *shrugs sheepishly*

BIC: Enigma frowned. "I won't. Our world relies on the stability of destiny and fate."

He turned to Geryl. "I doubt your destiny was ever anything more than it is now. Your destiny is the same, dark denizen or not. Perhaps what you thought of your destiny has changed, not destiny itself."

He looked back at Kyrie. "Fate and Destiny. Two high beings in my land...but not indestructible." He shrugged. "I wouldn't dare challenge them."

He then looked frustrated. "But the destiny set for me must be changed...Perhaps when I get back I'll have a word with them."

"That's right," Zane smirked. "Bet you didn't know that!" With a twirl, he sprang at Azull, slicing with the blur of impassable speed and agility.

"I dunno," said Xardius, scratching his head.

He looked at Geryl. "I've just had bad experiences with people who drink wine. Never much suited me either." He then looked puzzled. "But if Ex started it, wouldn't you want to distance yourself from your old self? The evil, dark part of you?"

"Doesn't mean you have to do it," Enigma muttered.

He turned to Kyrie. "Correct. But to understand destiny, you must understand fate..."

He shuddered. "Fate and Destiny. Two virtually impassable laws, but with the force of a strong blow, both can be shattered..."

Zane smiled. "I'm glad you got rid of the others. Now I can tell you..."

Twilight wrapped around his key as he snapped a new keychain on, and his keyblade transformed into a heavy key (resembling Fenrir).

"I'll tell you what I am!" he said, his eyes trembling with unimaginable power that was held in bay by sheer will. "I am one of you! A Brotherhood member! Isn't it funny?"

He threw back his head and laughed.

Xardius shook his head. "That was...um, weird. All I did was show him my childhood, he called me a selfish fool, and I was here."

He shrugged. "Oh, well." He saw Geryl still slurping wine. "If you have to drink that, don't do it in my presence," he snapped at Geryl. "It makes me sick..."

Enigma shook his head again at Geryl, and turned to Kyrie.

"....." He stared at her for a moment, then bowed slightly. "People tend to call me Enigma...for my powers...and my personality." He shrugged. "I've never disputed them. But my real name I'm afraid I cannot disclose."

"Xegram, wasn't it?" Enigma said suddenly. "You think too much. Rely on the heart's disposition to reveal the path within and the light within the darkness will destroy the pawns and unleash the fury to restore the peace to the darkness, not the light."

Xardius frowned. "I think you missed the point...but you can put that down if you want."

He shrugged. "If you'd been paying attention, you would have learned something."

OOC: I'm not interesting...? *sobs horribly*

BIC: Enigma stared at Geryl. "You're going to kill yourself doing that."

Xardius bristled. "Um, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, OK, I got something!" He swallowed. "Uh, here goes..."

Flame burst out of nowhere and swallowed the room and suddenly they were watching a young Darius.

"This is when I became a Guardian..." he said.

    Flames swept forward, and scenes of Xardius fighting...and fighting...and fighting...and fighting....and fighting...and fighting...and smirking...and fighting...and fighting...and smirking...and fighting...and fighting...and smirking...and fighting...and fighting...and smirking...and fighting...and fighting...and smirking...and fighting...and fighting...and smirking...and fighting...and fighting...and smirking...and fighting more...and fighting even more...and fighting even more...and fighting a ton more....and fighting and smirking and fighting and smirking and fighting and smirking and fighting and smirking and fighting and smirking and suddenly it was over.

Xardius sat there, smirking at Azull. "Got it yet?"

Xardius yelled. "What the...What's happening! Why the heck do you want to know about me!"

Zane smacked him on the back of the head. "Stop being a nitwit."

    He turned to Azull. "I can't. I don't remember."

Xardius skidded to a stop near Zane.

Or at least he thought so.

    Zane had disappeared.

    "Zane? Where are you?"

    "Right here."

    "But I can't see you!"

    "I can't see you either."

    "What should I do?"

    "Close your eyes."

Xardius did and saw Zane brushing himself off.

    "Where's Azull?"

    "Over there."

Xardius twisted and ran towards Azull, orbs of fire splashing out around him.

Enigma nodded, watching the ashes fall.

Turning, he smiled to himself. That was....easier than I expected. Chuckling to himself, he turned back to the group.

Zane wasn't paying attention, he wasn't even running at Azull. He was running to a place near the center of the lake, but a little off from it. With a triumphant cry, he plunged his keyblade downwards and the lake trembled...

Xardius closed his eyes and suddenly he could see. Zane was stabbing some sort of energy source that had appeared when the lake had. The energy source was sputtering...

But then Xardius saw, through closed eyes, Zane fly backwards as Azull shot him with a bow and arrow. Not the Azull that was pure energy that Geryl was talking to, but the real Azull, who was now aiming at him...

"Oh, crap," Xardius said, hitting the ground and rolling, coming to his feet and sprinting towards Zane.

Enigma shrugged. "Again, I do not believe I am a Guardian...But I do believe I came to this area for a purpose. Whether or not the purpose is to help or destroy, fight or run, I know not yet. But I am drawn to you and your powers...so, please allow me to join you, at least for the little while I am here."

"Just like Ienzo," Zane muttered. "Fascinated with his own imagination..."

He turned to the others. "As Nobodies, you are beings of twilight. Since illusions are made up of light and dark, use the twilight born within you to see through the illusions and strike at the core of it."

He spun his keyblade around and charged towards Azull.

OOC: Are we putting an E on the end of his name, Nulix? I don't think we have to now that there's two Ls, but if you want to...

"People call me Enigma, an Ultima from a faraway land," he said. "I don't know what a Guardian is, or if I'm supposed to be one, but I am here."

He shrugged. "I came to escape a war, but it seems I've just landed myself in another one."
