"How long has the city been built?" Xardius asked. He had found learning about the history of places usually was informative and rather interesting, if not enjoyable.
Dyran shrugged and motioned to the other members. Together they began walking. OOC: Where are we going again? To the towers or the crevasse?
"Wonderful," Xardius said. OOC: Yeah, just check the Updates thread, willi...It hasn't been posted in for a while, but not much has happened since the last post anyhow.
"He wasn't really," Dyran said. "But I heard later that he'd been killed...and was turned into....oh, what was it called...ah, a Nobody! But I've never met a Nobody...Unless Luxord was already a Nobody by the time I met him." He shrugged. "But like I said, Luxord wasn't evil. He was just.......a gambler. Life to the dice." He looked around. "We should probably either go to the towers or go through that crevasse." He pointed away from the cliff. "It looks like one of the only ways out."
Darius sat up and yelled, "BLUE CHEESE!" Looking around, he frowned, "What? Can't I say what I want?" He yawned, his jaw cracking. "So, like, where are we going?"
OOC: Enigma's there! *smiles smugly* BIC: Enigma watched the shadows. He could swear he had almost seen someone there... Shrugging, he followed Kyrie for lack of something better to do.
"That's why I asked," Xardius said with a grin. Then he frowned. "Thanks though. I wouldn't really mind, but seeing how they changed around you..." He sighed. "Sorry, that just slipped out. I just don't want things to change." He looked miserable, but then brightened. "Dang lucky my Heartless was destroyed..." Frowning, he tapped his chin. "But what could have destroyed it?"
Xardius was silent, then he muttered quietly, "You're the only one who knows. You and Saak."
"You know how you're not a Nobody anymore, correct? Well, how are you dealing with your emotions?"
"Hey! Wing!" Xardius called as he ran up. "I need to talk to you."
Xardius sat in the cool forest glade that he had warped to earlier that day. He sat there, his eyes closed, peaceful. The glade was the one untouched part of an otherwise completely ravaged world that had once been known as Larenska. Xardius put that out of his head. Larenska was here...Larenska would be restored very soon. If only... He nearly jumped out of his skin when he felt another person approaching. He snapped his eyes open, and cursed himself mentally for leaving his sword and armor by another tree, nearly ten feet away. Twisting, he saw it was Marlene. He felt tension ease out of him at her presence. Strange that he should trust her so completely when he hardly knew her...but that's not the way it felt. Marlene strode forward. "Your friends need your help." "Where?" "Where you left them." "Right.........That's the only reason you came here?" Marlene sighed and moved close to him. "Yes...and no. The Brotherhood is hunting you...and the others." "How do you know?" Xardius asked, beginning to put on his armor. Marlene didn't answer. "I trust you, you know," Xardius said after a moment. "Don't betray me." Marlene turned away and walked away. Xardius stared after her for a second, then opened a portal and stepped through to see the group. "Great..." he muttered.
"Huh?" Dyran asked, twisting. "This guy once came to our world...he had a bunch of cards that had that symbol on it." He pointed to the center tower. "Strange that they're here..."
Tera Roth clasped his hands firmly behind his back. Mentally, he made a list of the powers in the universe, as of now: The Ultimate Organization: A good group, but it was faltering in his opinion. Several members had left, and others were dead. Still others had gone insane and had been forced to be eliminated. And finally, there were the ones that were left. Still a large group, but not as powerful as it once was... The Enigmatic Knights: A good group, if scattered and severely weakened. The Enigmatic Knights had had a huge following, with millions of knights following their leaders fearlessly into battle. Interestingly enough, the Ultimate Organization didn't seem to notice, or maybe care, that they hadn't "eliminated" every last remnant of the knights. Sure, they had spearheaded the effort, but they hadn't followed through. As if one battle could crush an organization that large. 10,000 had been hidden nicely in Wonderland. 20,000 in the Olympus Coliseum. 10,000 for Traverse Town and 30,000 for Twilight Town. Enormous amounts, but they looked like average people. All in all, there were still almost 1,000,000 knights with about 20 powerful ones that were leading the groups. He shook his head and continued. The Virus: A rather bizarre being in his opinion. Although it seemed to have an unlimited supply of energy and life, in reality, it was growing weaker by the minute. Especially after Tera Roth had nearly gutted it. The Air Army: Led by Vecked, this was perhaps the greatest threat at the moment...besides the Brotherhood. But the Brotherhood seemed content for the moment, and Tera Roth knew why. The Air Army had the potential to crush everything else, but at a severe loss of power and lives. The Organization would probably take out about half of the Air Army, the Virus another quarter, and the Enigmatic Knights would just remain as they were. However, once the Air Army had conquered everything, they would be so weak, it would be simple for the Brotherhood to step in and take over. That could not be allowed to happen. The Dai Jee: A mysterious group that Tera Roth had never heard of before. Seemingly, it was led by a man named Hojan, and they were plotting to take over the Air Army, and perhaps the universe, all at once. A powerful group perhaps, but less of a threat than he suspected they might become. The League of Roth: Pathetic. Led by himself, this was probably the weakest out there. Slamming his fist into a table, Tera Roth vowed he would do something very soon. The Brotherhood: Tera Roth slammed his fist into the table again. He refused to think of them. Azull, eliminated. Zane, turned traitor to the Brotherhood, but trapped in Kingdom Hearts. Zaxor, alive and all too well, hunting down Organization members. Marlene...he wasn't sure about her. He knew there were others but he didn't know who they were, or where they were yet. The Guardians of Larenska: Scattered, and nearly destroyed, this group was still powerful. Wirdikov had seemed to be dead nearly four times, but Tera knew he was still alive. Even after facing Zaxor. If Tyre could survive a battle with Zaxor... "That's not very nice," Tyre said, looking up from the book he was reading. "Huh?" "Just because I'm not a very good fighter..." "Oh, sorry, just thinking." "Yeah, I know...Stop it before you hurt yourself." "Funny. We need to go." "Hmph." "Now." "Fine." "............I mean it." "I'm going." "...." "What?" "You're still sitting there." "Your point?" "MOVE IT!" Tyre threw his hands in the air and jumped up. "Fine! Let's go!" "All right! Let's go!" "..." "What?" "ARE YOU GOING TO OPEN THE BLOODY PORTAL OR WHAT?" "Oh, yeah, forgot..." OOC: Sorry for the length. I must like long posts or something.
Xardius opened his eyes. The much-needed rest had come at an inopportune time. Standing up, he was surprised to see he was in a tent. Grumbling to himself, he walked through and gaped. An army was laid out around him. "Oh, sir!" one of the guards on his tent exclaimed. "Good morning!" Xardius shook his head. "How many?" "10,000," the guard said proudly, "and three more just like this one on the other side of that ridge." He pointed. "Plus we have at least 5 more camps that will be arriving this next week." Xardius shook his head. "Who's in charge?" "Xegreny, I believe, sir," the guard said. "Wing stepped down, eh? Probably because he's not a Nobody anymore, not that it makes a difference." "Wing is not in this army," the guard said coldly. Xardius growled. "Watch it, private. Don't make me mad." He saw Bellatrix and moved to her. "What's going on?"
OOC: We have an army now? Geez....I think I'm going to work on Chapter 6...
OOC: Sorry to ditch you guys like that, but I had no other choice. Anyhow, this world is going to be like our homebase. We'll come back here from time to time, at least, I hope so, but basically this RP is going to be pretty open. Just post whatever you want, as long as you stick with the group (at least, at first). BIC: Dirge stared at Gale's finger, and raised an eyebrow. Turning, he stared out at the abyss. The area they were standing on was framed by crystal-like rock, with a narrow alleyway through the crystal winding its way from the open area they were in now. Dyran looked around and his eyebrows knitted. Five towers stood erect and proud, visions of white splendor, standing in the middle of a giant depression with cliffs all around it. A large crevasse passed off from this depression, leading...somewhere behind the crystal rock, which Dyran couldn't see. Adorned atop the towers were five symbols: On the end ones, a Clover and a Diamond; the second ones, going from outside in, were taller and had a Spade and a Heart on them; the middle tower, the largest and tallest by nearly 60 feet, was adorned with the crystalline framework of another sign, which Dyran couldn't place. It had three points at the top, a narrow neck, down to a large base that swung out. It reminded him of something. Yes, there it was. The lost memory rose to him: A man had come to his world once, and seemed surprised that he'd arrived there. He had talked to some people, but after realizing what he was looking for was not here, he began to gamble with cards that had had the symbol that he was now looking at on them. "Luxord," Dyran remember, muttering out loud. OOC: In case you haven't guessed, we're where you fight Sephiroth in Radiant Garden. Though the symbols on the towers, and the towers themselves have changed.
Xardius rescued Xegreny and Orion, and Vexneah and Kyrie met up with them, along with a mysterious girl named Marlene. Marlene also appears to be a member of the Brotherhood. Meanwhile, Tera Roth and Tyre are planning something. The Air Army, on the side note, is also becoming nigh unstoppable, and if the Organization doesn't take care of it, could become a major problem.
OOC: *grump grump* I gotta go. Be on tomorrow.
When Wing nodded, Xardius pulled something out of his pocket. It was a letter. "Here," he said. "Someone wanted me to give you this." *** Marlene tapped her chin, then took the bow. "Just remember...Though wind is powerful, there are things that can conquer it." With a smile and a wink, the portal opened and she stepped through. OOC: I gotta go too. See you guys later.
Dyran shrugged, and ran through the portal.
