Naw, don't take out the effects, they really do compliment the render greatly. This is a really good sig, that could use some minor tweaking. I'm not sure what you did to get the effect on the left, but simple just lower the opacity or lightly erase it, it's too powerful and takes away from the focal point. The only thing that really needs to be just taken out are those black smudges on the top right. They don't fit at all.
