I only felt this once and it was more to do with me not seeing my friend in years and having nothing to talk about while my mom talked with my friend's mom like they were best friends who see each other all the time, even though they were really only acquaintances. For single links, I prefer Riku's. It's difficult for me to control the Spirits when using Sora's. However, for dual links, I prefer Sora's by far. The invincibility as well as the massively strong attack is a huge positive.

Tell him right off that you're not interested in a relationship. Don't start a relationship with him if you don't like him because it will be insanely difficult to break it off later. Say that you're interested in being friends. And then be friends with him. If he isn't willing to be friends, he's not worth dating. And who knows, once you're friends, he could share his comics with you and you could share your interests. But make sure you're up front about the not-interested-in-him thing.
