Lucrecia turned back to the children as they continued to play.
"You're pretty weird, Ryoji."
I hope you never have to go through this, sis. You deserve to be happy.
"From what I've seen, she's not someone you want to piss off. Not unless you want her to add a few ventilation holes in your head, anyway."
Lucrecia watched the ceremony from her balcony. The children must never know what happened to their father. At least not until they're of age.
"Show a little restraint, Ryoji."
Lucrecia continued to watch her children play.
Cyrus stood next to her.
Lucrecia smiled at them.
"I guess we're both the best....for now."
Lucia thrusted the sword at him.
Lucia slashed at Seth again.
Lucia blocked his slash and countered.
Lucia pointed her sword at Seth. "No, I will."
"No you won't, Seth. I'm gonna be the best!"
"I wanna learn too. I wanna be like mama."
"You're really anxious to use a sword, aren't you, Seth?"
Lucrecia watched her children walk around the room.
Lucia did the same. Pretty soon, I'll have to teach them how to use a sword.
Lucrecia picked her children up and noticed they were a little heavier. "You two are growing faster than I thought. Pretty soon, I won't be able to pick you up anymore."
