Buckling his knees, Tsuyoki collapsed. On his way down, he landed ontop of Mei, twitching.

Tsuyoki's mind was a blur. He was despratly trying to find away to explain what just happened. What did just happen anyway?
Gently slowly pulled away. His eyes snapped open at the realization of what he had just done. His face burst into a rosey glow. "Ummm....I can explain." he stuttered.
Cradling Mei, Tsuyoki let his weary eyes close. The world will come later. He deserved to enjoy what was now.

Closing his eyes, he let his lips rest on Mei's forhead. This moment was so peaceful, so perfect. It was as if the coming chaos was nothing at all to them but a bad thought.
Slowly, Tsuyoki returned the gaze. He stared into her eyes, happy that they finally started to dry. A soft smile adorned his lips.
Tsuyoki cradled his friends head as his shirt became damp from her grief. Looking up at the sky, the air soldier pondered. If there was a higher form of being, why did they let things like this happen.
Jumping into the earth, the appeared right infront of Mei. With open arms he caught her and cradled her gently. "Ssssh" he whispered. "There there, Mei. It'll be alright."
Tsuyoki closed his eyes and shook his head. Bangs covering his face. "That's all I know so far. Details don't trickle down to foot soldiers. Do you understand now, Mei?"
Slowly, Tsuyoki let go of Mei. His eyes grew forlorn and dismal. There has been talk around the higher ups. "There is a rumor that the next great war will be starting soon. Every nation will be involved. Only the winning side will be left. Not even the ground beneath the vanquished's feet will remain. As soldiers, we have to make sure it is fulfilled."
"If we had just kept them here, they might have been safe as prisoners of war. Now, it is questionable that anyone will survive now."
Frantically, Tsuyoki grabbed Mei's arms. "Mei!" he yelled, fear in his eyes. "You've doomed them all!"
