"That he is. So how's breakfast coming along?"
"I figured you'd like to feel the ground beneath your feet since we live out here." "If Ken wants to wear boots, he'll wear boots. There's nothing strange about that."
"I don't get why you'd want to wear boots, Ken." Jaina said, looking at him strangely.
Edric walked back to them. "Good to see everyone up."
"Morning, mom." Jaina said. Edric finished his bath and got dressed.
Jaina woke up and went to help.
Edric stretched and went to take a bath.
Edric slowly woke up. "Morning, Sayu."
Edric slept as he held her.
Edric carried her back to the grove and laid down with her.
"Of course." Edric said as he picked her up.
Edric smiled and kissed her back. "Let's get some sleep."
"I've already got that covered. I learned how to conjure a everburning flame that will keep us warm through the winter."
"So do I. Civilization always interferes with anyone's connection to the earth."
"I really like it here."
"It's hard to explain, but it's fall, yet our grove looks like it's still spring. The little lake we have is always has crystal clear and clean water and the stuff we've grown there grows fast."
"I guess I'll have to learn to share." He said before holding her hand. "Have you noticed how our home is like a sacred grove?"
"Like I said, I hope the earth will feel the same way it does about you and the kids someday. For now, let's head back home and get some sleep."
"Maybe it will someday."
"I'm glad. I feel more at ease out here than I ever did in the castle."
