"Yes, and I've grown tired of you and that brat of yours. I shall kill the both of you." Roto said with a demonic grin on his face.
Krysta quickly hurried back to her mother. Roto grabbed Rose and lifted her into the air. "There you are, slave."
Krysta fired bolts of water and ice at Kuro.
Edric fired blades of wind at Kuro. He had dropped the fire stone and it rolled to Ken.
Edric watched as armor appeared on Sayu as well. "Looks like we've been chosen by whatever power resides in these stones."
Jaina looked at the weird brown stone she had caught. It didn't glow for her, but it started to glow when she handed it to her mother. Edric took the green stone from Miyu and armor appeared on him. "What just happened?"
Jaina looked out at Miko as she sat with Miyu. "What's up, Miko?"
Roto went to hunt down Rose.
"Roto." The demon mindlessly said as he continued to hit the barrier. Krysta smiled now that her mother had calmed down.
"I have to protect you too, mom. After all, you're the only family I have."
"That's why I learned to fight, so I could protect you, mom." The demon hit the barrier repeatedly, trying to break through.
"No you wouldn't. I won't let anyone treat my mother like some slave." The demon began to attack Kyo.
"I always wondered why you were so sad around him. Now I don't feel so bad about killing him."
"Tell me then, mom." Krysta's dad got up and let out a demonic roar.
Krysta took her mother to Edric and Sayu's grove to keep her safe for the meantime.
Rose sat down with her mother, trying to comfort her.
Krysta held her mother close to her and took her out of the grove. "It's alright now, mom. He can't hurt you anymore."
Krysta ran to her mother and hugged her. "Are you alright, mom?"
Krysta still looked shocked as she watched her father back away from her mother and fall over dead.
Krysta grabbed the dragoon spirit and was shocked as strange armor appeared on her body. Some water in the grove reacted to her thoughts and launched in a spike at her father, piercing his throat.
