"I'm not going to let you run away from your family like this. Your children need you, Ken.....I need you." Krysta said, holding him tightly.
"I stayed with you because I love you and I wanted to be with you. Even we were never formally married, I feel like we're husband and wife. We didn't need some stupid ceremony to have that kind of bond."
"I didn't really have much of a reason to stay with you, but you want to know why I stuck with you?"
"I know. That was your idea."
"You done having your temper tantrum, Ken?"
Haku stood in the forest, looking at the sky.
"Just take my words to heart, son. I know you'll do what you feel is best."
"You'll have to teach Haku how to live without the use of his right arm, then. When your mother and I found out your left arm didn't work, we swore we'd make sure you could live without using that arm." Edric sighed. "Haku really looks up to you, Ken. I can tell he wants to be just like you. If you keep blowing him off like you've been doing though, he'll do the same to his children, following your example."
"What makes you say that? Were you not paying attention to your children?"
"Just tell me, son. Get some of your troubles off of your chest."
Haku got up and started to head home until he ran into Ken. Haku scowled at his father and walked the other direction. Edric came across Ken in the forest. "What brings you so far into the forest, son?"
Krysta walked back to the camp. Haku just laid against a tree, looking at his right arm.
"I'm telling you this now because you were too blind and stupid to notice." Krysta said before slamming him into a tree. "Maybe if you had taken the time to pay a little attention to your children, rather than sleeping and training, you wouldn't have been in the dark."
"I'm telling you anyway, you thick headed idiot. Only Haku's left arm works. His right arm stopped working shortly after he was born."
Haku just sat in the forest alone. Krysta walked up to Ken. "You don't know why Haku wants you to teach him, Ken?"
"There is no one else that can teach me, dad. Who else could teach me how to wield a sword with one arm like you can?"
"I don't care what you've told me. You're going to teach me how to use a sword, one way or another." Haku yelled back. Krysta sighed. "Sounds like we've got to go stop those two from trying to kill each other, Lara."
Haku quickly pushed Ken away from him and threw him against a tree with an equally serious look on his face. "I only showed you the basics today. Tomorrow, expect things to not be as fun."
Haku quickly dodged and countered. Krysta finished training with Lara. "What did you think of your first lesson?"
"You're overreacting a little, aren't you, dad?" Haku said, not even flinching. Krysta started training with Lara.
