"The training I went through as a child was to become an assassin. My father forced me to go through the training, threatening to kill my mother if I didn't. I never once told her about it, because I didn't want her to worry about me."
ooc: sure. bic: Haku sat with his family in the grove. "You never did tell us why you knew so much about poisons, mom." Krysta sighed. "Let's just say that I did things as a child that I'm not very proud of." She said, thinking of the training she went through, all the people she was forced to kill.
Krysta cried on her shoulder. Haku sat next to Rin and held her, silently shedding tears.
Haku stayed in the grove with Rin. Krysta dug the grave and buried Ken's body. She started crying over the grave. "Why did this have to happen? Why does my life have to be filled with so much misfortune?"
Krysta picked Ken's body up and went to go bury him.
Haku hit the ground in anger. "I swear, I'll avenge you someday, dad. I'll make you proud of me."
"I never hated you, dad."
Haku silently took his father's sword and held it.
Krysta fell back and started to cry. Haku sat in shock. He blamed himself for what happened.
Krysta had a look of absolute horror on her face, still continuing to try and cure Ken.
"No, just hang on. I'll find some way to cure you. I don't want to lose you!" Krysta shouted, trying desparately to cure the poison.
Krysta tried desparately to make the antitoxin work, using every method she knew of.
"That should fix you up, Ken. Just lie there and rest a moment while the antitoxin works its magic. If you move around, you'll prevent it from working and I won't be able to give you another shot of it."
Krysta plunged the syringe into Ken's heart and injected the antitoxin.
"There is only one way to administer this antitoxin. It has to be injected straight to the heart." Krysta said as she got a needle ready. "Haku, Lara. Hold your father down. Once I inject this into him, he'll be flailing around like a madman. We don't need him biting his tongue off." Haku did what his mother asked him. "Ready, Ken?"
Krysta examined Ken's blood. "Figures. He used a mixture of rubashi and kiara poisons. They have a tendency to counteract most antitoxins. There's only one antitoxin that will work against this mixture." Krysta said as she started making the antitoxin.
"Kuro is terrible at making poisons then. If he had half a brain, he would have used a poison that killed on contact." Krysta said as she forced the antitoxin down Ken's throat.
"You think some stupid poison can stop me from healing you? I know all about poisons and know that this one is fairly weak to the stuff I've worked with in the past." Krysta said before she started to make an antitoxin. Haku was stunned to hear his mother say that. Was she trained to be an assassin or something as a child? He thought to himself.
Haku took his father back to the grove. Krysta immediately started to treat his wounds.
Haku pulled the arrows out of his fathers back and tried to patch him up.
