"Hey there." Lucrecia said as Ryo walked up to her. She quickly took off her royal gown, revealing normal clothes underneath. "Feels good to get out of that gown. I hate wearing it, but I have to keep up appearances when I'm around my father. "That's something only Ryo and the elder god know."
"Like I said, the names were coincidences. Except for Ryo, of course." "Why don't you go talk to her?"
"They look nothing like us though. They're just us in name only." "I wanted you to meet Lucrecia. The king of the land we've been at war with wanted you and her to be married to bring peace, but I wanted you to meet her first to see if you'd like her. I didn't want to force you into a relationship you didn't want." Lucrecia left the room and stretched. "Ryo looks like someone I don't have to act all prim and proper around. Good, I would have went nuts if I had to be like that for the rest of my life." She said to herself.
"That's probably not too far off. You have to remember that the gods work in mysterious ways." Lucrecia looked over at Ryo.
"No, it's just a coincidence Miko." Goddess Lucrecia said, speaking to her mind. "They can at least meet each other to see whether they like each other or not." Lily said before sending one of the guards to get Ryo.
The young girl came in and bowed in front of Lily. "What's your name, girl?" "My name is Lucrecia, your majesty."
"That sounds interesting. My son would have to meet your daughter though. I don't want him marrying someone he wouldn't love. What's her name?"
"What was your offer?"
"I'll have to cut this meeting short, then. I hope you have a safe trip home."
"I don't know which one of my children will take the throne. I haven't seen my son ever since he went off to train a few months ago. This war has kept me from my family for too long."
"You're probably right. We need to stop fighting though, or else the bad blood will carry on to the next generation."
"What do you propose for peace, then?"
"Likewise. There has been far too much bloodshed."
Lily went to meet the king, hoping the negotiations wouldn't take too long.
