"I do, but there's no point in having one if we're both not ready for one."
"I guess it is. We weren't all that ready to be parents yet." Lucrecia said as the doctor walked off. "Next time we have our fun, we'll have to take precautions to keep this scare from happening again."
"She just has a stomach bug. It mirrored the symptoms of morning sickness, which many pregnant women go through during their pregnancy. The bug should pass by tomorrow." Lucrecia looked a little relieved, but felt a little disappointed.
Lucrecia smiled at him. The doctor came running up to them. "I'm glad I caught up to you two. I'm afraid that I misdiagnosed the queen. She isn't pregnant at all."
"Other than a sprained ankle, I'm alright."
"That's one reason you were born, yes. That doesn't mean you're a machine though. In any case, you're not going to be fighting Kuro anytime soon, so just go help your wife." Lucrecia finally managed to move. She crawled up to a tree and laid against it.
"You should at least be there to see your child being born. You'll regret it for the rest of your life if you don't see it." Lily said before she sighed. "Don't let your child grow up without at least knowing who their father is. I don't want my grandchild to be like Sakura is."
"How do you think your child will be prepared for the future if you're not there to raise it? If the child develops powers like yours, then how will it learn to control them without your help? Did you ever stop and think of that?"
"Life isn't about getting what you want." Lily said, pinning him down and pointing her sword at his throat in anger. "You think I was ready to become a mother when I had you? Of course I wasn't, but I didn't go acting like a stupid child! I faced the future head on and raised you and your sister together with your father. I had many chances to leave you two behind, but I never once turned away from you, despite my apprehension to becoming a mother." She then grabbed him by the back of his neck and made him look at where Lucrecia was. "You see your wife laying helpless there? You're going to at least go and help her up and get her inside. Now are you going to do it voluntarily, or am I going to have to throw you from this roof?"
"Ryo, I'm disappointed in you. You find out your wife is carrying your child and you act like a frightened baby at the prospect of being a father. I thought you were supposed to be a man, but I guess you're not ready for manhood yet."
Lily stood behind Ryo and grabbed him.
Lucrecia laid on the ground, unable to get up.
Lucrecia started to go after him, but soon fell and sprang her ankle.
"Where are you going, Ryo?!"
"We've got plenty of time to prepare before I give birth. Don't worry about it, Ryo."
"I knew there was a chance of this happening, yes. I was actually looking forward to it."
"It happened when we celebrated our honeymoon, Ryo."
"Yes. It's just starting to develop right now, but soon, she'll give birth to your child, or children."
"She's carrying your child inside her, your majesty. Your mother didn't teach you about where babies come from, did she?"
The doctor did an examination on Lucrecia. "The queen is pregnant, your highness." Lucrecia looked like she was about to faint.
