As the voice laughed, Phenox started crying. He remembered that girl he loved when he was a Somebody. He was kind to her, helped her, and in return, she treated him the same. When the day came when Phenox told the girl he loved her, the girl responded with, "I'm sorry, but I don't love you." This memory made Phenox cry harder.
