Erix smiled. "Our anniversary is next week, right?"
"Erix, you were right. It's not because she commited treason... it's because I was angry with her... i'm going to set things right..." He warped away.
Erix held her. "Have fun?"
Phenox stood up. "You're wrong. I do not merely care for Xathabat, I love her with every fiber of my non-being..." Erix laughed. "I knew it."
Phenox ignored Sarax's question. "I do..."
"Sorry kid, my job." Erix said. "But, I could use some company." Phenox shrugged. "So be it."
"No, but she will be." Phenox stared at the ceiling.
"She's long gone." Phenox layed in his bed, pretending not to care, even though he did.
