Hiro bolted out the window. "I'm gonna win!" Kai looked at Kairi and smiled. "I don't know where he gets his energy."
Rukia sighed, knowing that there was no point in saying 'don't worry'. "I don't know his name." She started. "But it was obvious he was one of Orochimaru's drones. He had a curse seal too. But everytime he touched me, it hurt... It was almost unbareable... And he spread my curse seal by just touching it... I only stayed awake to finish the mission... Once we got back, my body gave out on me..."
Hiro tugged Momo's tail. "Chicken."
Hiro looked at Momo. "Race?"
Rukia looked at Sasuke. "Heh... I couldn't have you madder at me, could I? I've been fine... until that guy..."
Hiro flew around with Momo, not answering Kai. Kai sighed. "Come on. Let's get out of here before Telren comes."
Daine shook her head. "No, I'm alright." Though she was still thinking. But I grew up alone... with a foster family... Or was I separated from my family when I was young? This isn't making sense.
Kai let Hiro go. Hiro shook himself. "I won the race! And I got to talk with my friend!" "Which friend, Hiro?" Kai asked, a bit worried.
"If I knew more about what happened and who her enemy was, I'd be able to make a more accurate diagnosis. All I can say for now is that she'll need a lot of attention. I'm not sure what exactly is wrong..." The medic paused and then said quietly, "It may have to do with her curse seal..."
"Wait! My brother?!" Daine was already back before she started speaking. "I have a brother...?"
Kai sighed with relief, hugging Hiro close to. "Don't ever do that again." She said, tears starting to sting her eyes. "Squishing... me..." Hiro squirmed.
Daine smiled a bit. "I guess that's true. Still, I feel odd being in the presance of Princess Zelda and Link. They're so special and I'm pretty much a nobody."
"I've tried so hard to please you..." Rukia's voice got quieter. "I don't feel well...." The medic got up quickly and left the room, coming back soon with a damp cloth. She placed it on Rukia's forehead and then checked her pulse. A grim look crossed her face.
"Kyuu!" Wizard jumped up and down. "What is it?" Dai asked, confused at Wizard's sudden distress. Rei remained unconcious.
"But why?!" Daine asked, still confused. "What's so special about me?"
"Oh..." Daine said after a moment. "But... why are you here? And why bother training me?"
"Wait just a moment!" Daine said, bewildered. "Are you really Link?"
Daine gasped. "L-Link...?"
Daine ran forward. "Are you okay? Did I overdo it?"
"I was supposed to climb trees with her today..." Rukia shut her eyes. "I'll have to tell her I'm sorry I was held up... Sasuke, are you mad at me?"
