Richard muttered these words through clenched teeth. His pregnant fiancée, Sophie, just watched him. She eventually got enough courage to approach him.

"Richie..." She touched his shoulder.

"Lock and load!" He called to his two other friends.

"Aye!" A survivor shouted and cocked his shotgun.

"Let's get this over with..." Another survivor loaded his sniper rifle and pistol.

Richard loaded his Sub-Machine Gun(SMG)

Sophie picked up a nearby pistol.

"Let's get the hell outta here!" Richard ran into the ruined city at the bottom of a hill, followed by many survivors.

It wasn't always like this... under the chaos and ruin you see once stood a beautiful, peaceful city. Washington DC...
Beautiful and peaceful, that is, until those things arrived. Zombies, some may call them. Unfortunately for myself and the other survivors, once DC was quarantined, we were trapped inside.

We were left to sink or swim on our own. Just great... things look bleak, but we have a chance. There is a river that leads out of the city. We reach it, we're home free.
