Garxena shook her head, keeping her eyes on the ground. Hiro flew over to Geryl and sat on his shoulder. "Kai went..."
"Go on." Kai gently pushed Garxena towards Katara and Geryl. Hiro nuzzled Kai and then went back to Garxena's shoulder. "Be careful." "I will." Kai assured Hiro and then portaled away. Garxena bit her tongue, holding back tears and silently joined Katara and Geyl. OOC: anybody like van helsing?
OOC: i was at lagoon for an end of the year trip until two hours ago and i had to shower and eat dinner. i was going to go to a softball game, but i came here instead so that i could see you ^^ "He was nice..." Hatsumi repeated softly, trying to figure things out.
"The important kind." Kai said, and then went to Garxena. Garxena lowered her arms slowly. "... He was still in there, wasn't he...?" She asked Kai quietly. Kai lowered her eyes. "Yes." She responded, giving Garxena a hug. "Listen to me now. I have to go. There's something I've missed and I'm afraid it might be too late. I need you to be strong for me. I want Hiro to stay with you. Take good care of him. That way if I don't come back, he'll have you." She smoothed Garxena's hair. Garxena wrapped her arms around Kai. "What do you mean 'if you get back'?" Kai gently pushed Garxena away. "I mean it's going to take a long time and it might be dangerous."
Hatsumi lowered her eyes, even more confused. "But... But he... He was nice..."
"I don't know." Garxena answered Katara. "Information." Kai answered simply.
Hatsumi looked at the log blankly. "It's not-...?" She tilted her head back and looked up at Sasuke.
Kai made quick work of searching the shelves. Still not finding what she was looking for she cursed under her breath and hurried outside.
Hatsumi's tears landed softly on the grass. "My fault..." She held onto Sasuke. "It's my fault...."
"Geryl, please go. I will be out soon." Kai said.
Hatsumi crawled over and shook Sasuke's shoulder. "Wake up...." She said hoarsely. "Wake up...."
Hatsumi stared at Sasuke. "D- Daddy...?"
Hatsumi plopped down and folded her arms. "No..." She mumbled. It seemed to be her favorite word. Maybe he has a twin...
"I won't believe that!" Hatsumi looked up at Sasuke, her cheeks stained with tears. "They're not the same person! They can't be..."
"She's not going to." Kai said, taking her hand back. "Trust me?" She gave Silax a reassuring smile.
"Because you already know." Hatsumi said. She looked down, not wanting Sasuke to see her tears. "I don't understand..."
"I said no!" Hatsumi pulled harder, knowing that she couldn't match or outdo Sasuke's strength.
Hatsumi cringed and yanked away from Sasuke. "No."
Itachi put Hatsumi down and ruffled her hair. "We'll talk some other time. It seems as though I've gotten him angry. You wouldn't want to see that." He disappeared. Hatsumi stared at where Itachi had been, a small smile crossing her face. "... Wow."
Garxena returned the smile and then focused back on the building. Kai stumbled and held onto a bookcase for support. "I'll go soon. Worry about yourself."
