"She went out with Naruto-sama to show him a jutsu." Hinata said. Itachi picked up Hatsumi and jumped out of the way of the kunai and Naruto. "Are you hurt?" He asked her. Hatsumi shook her head, a bit confused. "She looked over at Naruto. "Why'd you-" Itachi covered Hatsumi's mouth. "He's ignorant." Hatsumi noticed Itachi had the same eyes as her father. Does that mean he's scary too...? But he was so nice in my dream... Don't my dreams tell the truth?
Garxena joined Katara, using her Twilight energy to try to support the building. Kai searched the other selves. Of all the places, this place has nothing.
Hinata turned off the water and went to answer the door. "Sasuke-kun? Is there something you need?" Hatsumi stopped the jutsu and looked back at Naruto. "Really?" "Really." Itachi appeared behind Hatsumi. "Better than myself I must say." Hatsumi froze. "That voice... Are you-" She turned around and took a couple steps back. "You are the one from my dream." Itachi glanced at Naruto and then looked back at Hatsumi. "You say you had a dream about me?" He knelt and placed a hand on Hatsumi shoulder. "What of?"
Hiro landed on Garxena's shoulder. "Okay now?" Garxena nodded meekly. She kept her eyes open for Kai. Kai stood, not finding what she wanted. If I can't find what I need in a book, then I'll just have to search myself.
What if I mess up? I don't want him to think I'm not good... She shook her head. I'll just have to give it all I've got. She made the hand signs in quick succession and created a large ball of fire. Impressive. Itachi thought. But why is she with the Kyuubi boy and not her own father?
Kai got in her knees to keep her balance through the shaking. There's got to be something.... anything... He's well known enough...
"Where are you going?" Sakura called after him. Hatsumi grinned and then focused herself so she could do the jutsu. A big ball of fire... That's all it is. It's not hard. So why am I nervous? Itachi watched Hatsumi, hidden a fair distance away.
"That tickled!" Hatsumi smiled. Sakura looked at Sasuke. "Isn't he dead?"
Kai ran back to the library and went to a row in the back. This is the only place I haven't checked... She thought, scanning the books.
OOC: raspberry! XD those tickle!! "It might have been a genjutsu. Or a transformation jutsu." Sakura said. Hatsumi burst out in laughter, squirming more.
Kai woke Garxena. "What....?" Garxena sat up and remembered what happened. "Silax!" She ran for the door. Kai grabbed Garxena's wrist. "Garxena. I need you to think about yourself right now. Get out of here." Garxena met Kai's eyes. "... What about you?" "Go now." Kai said sternly, letting Garxena go. "I've got to do something before I lose the chance." Garxena nodded slowly and portaled outside.
Sakura folded her arms. "It doesn't sound like she described the Itachi we know. A soft voice, a gentle hold... Perhaps it wasn't really him." Hatsumi squirmed and giggled. "Yes!"
"You did what you could." Kai gave Silax a gentle smile before going to Garxena's room.
"What exactly did she say her dream was?" Sakura questioned. "Did she tell you of some horrible thing that happened? Did she see her death or something? What's making you so paranoid?" "I'll clean up." Hinata said. "You two sound as if you've got a lot of work to do." She smiled. Hatsumi nodded and finished her pancakes.
"Her dream maybe?" Sakura said, as though it was obvious. "And you. You gave her a challenge and then say she can't do it? How do you think she's feeling? If I were her, I'd be very confused." Hatsumi looked at Naruto, grinning. "I've got a challenge to do. I've got three days, but I want to do it sooner than that." "And what's you challenge?" Hinata asked. "To master the Goukakyu no Jutsu." Hatsumi answered. "And I'm gonna do it!"
Kai shook her head. "I haven't. I've been... busy."
Sakura glared at Sasuke. "Why don't you let her have a bit of peace? Let her be happy for a while?" Hatsumi smiled and took a bite of her pancakes. Hinata stood, looking at Naruto. He's really great with her. I wonder how he'll be with the twins...
Hinata smoothed Naruto's hair. "You'll be okay." She smiled. "She's fine." Sakura said. "I know you're mad and that's exactly why she'd going to be away for a couple days."
OOC: squee!!! :glomp: let's get this thing going! :D :D :D Garxena rolled on to her side. "Silax..." She murmured, dreaming. Kai left the library, wiping her eyes. Nothing there... I'll just have to look harder some other time. Right now I've got to pull it together.
OOC: congrats on the 1000 posts Sakura came in and glanced at Sasuke, before heading back to the kitchen. "Hatsumi's going to stay with Hokage-sama and Hinata-chan for a couple days." Hinata knelt by Naruto. "Are you okay?" Hatsumi giggled and then started eating.
