They most likely will. I remember how Square released that "Trinity" 3-game package which had KH1, KH CoM and KH2. Around the time of the FM+ release I believe. I think if they see profit in it, they'll do it. Though if they don't, it wouldn't surprise me.
You might just have a brick'd MP3 player. Do you have a warranty on it? If you do, call the manufacturer and see if you can get a new one for, hopefully, free. I've only had to deal with a broken MP3 player (which was a Zen) once, and it didn't work at all even after I tried re-formatting. Not sure what to tell you. D:
