Hannah sighed. "You're right.... But that doesn't mean I'll do it." She added stubbornly. Beatrice came in the room quietly, afraid she might disturb Hannah if she was still sleeping. She held a jet black cloak, an apologetic smile on her face. "Sorry," She said for walking in on Edward and Hannah. "I- I thought you could use a new one." She gestured to the cloak.
"You've done enough," Hannah assured him. "And besides, I'm really not up to... you know...."
Hannah smiled softly. "No, Edward. You don't have to. I don't want to make you do that; it's really unpleasant."
Hannah's jaw tightened. "I'm not worried about that...." Though she had noticed herself that was a bit too white. "I'll try Jinx's way soon I guess...." She opened her eyes to look at Edward.
Hannah winced when she first touched the bed, but soon relaxed into the soft mattress. I prefer getting shot in the shoulder. She thought. "Edward," She took comfort in saying his name. "Unless you can make the pain vanish, I think I'll just have to deal...." Her head tilted to the side. She wanted to open her eyes, but they felt too heavy.
"Edward...," Hannah's voice was quiet and she still hadn't opened her eyes. "It hurts...."
Hannah groaned as she finally registered the pain. "That b*stard knocked me out...."
Beatrice nodded and went back outside to where Lexi and Sorin were grazing. Hannah felt movement. "Edward...."
"That'd be a good idea... And once Carl is ready, we should go." Beatrice said. "I think we should get a carriage too; it'd be easier.""
Beatrice slowly detached her hands from Hannah, her stomach rolling.
Beatrice grimaced at the sight, but kept her hold on Hannah firm.
Beatrice nodded and made sure her grip was steady on Hannah. Sure enough, there was already no mark on Hannah's forehead.
"Of course not..." Hannah's voice was muffled by her arm. "Jinx, you don't have to stay..." Beatrice's eyes widened. "Are you going to...?"
"In pain..." Hannah murmured. Beatrice moved over for Edward. "I think she'll be fine if we get the bullet out."

Beatrice also closed the few open windows. "Is that-" She turned to look at Hannah. "Oh, God, Hannah?!" She knelt by Hannah, who had given up trying to sit and lay on her stomach, using her arms to support her head. "Don't yell...." Hannah moaned. Beatrice exhaled, relieved. "You scared me." She looked at the wound. "Um, Hannah..." "What...?" Hannah asked, closing her eyes. "You've bled through your shirt... it's kind of making a mess." Beatrice said. "I know; I can smell it. Can't be as bad as Elijah...." Hannah tried taking slow breaths to keep her movement minimum.
If the date thinks that way, then I don't want to go out with them. I take the girl.

I've got a damn good idea of who did it. I just need reports from some of the jounin to verify it. Satoshi thought bitterly as she left quietly. But why... I have no idea.
"Hannah..." Beatrice started quietly. "What?" Hannah asked, trying to focus on something other than the pain. "If you're a vampire... why do you bleed?" Beatrice asked. "I don't know." Hannah replied, slightly exasperated. She tried to sit straighter without using her hands, but faltered back to supporting herself with her hands. Beatrice helpfully put her hands on Hannah's shoulders. "You should stay still." "Mmhmm..." Hannah was biting her tongue. Despite the pain, she shrugged off her cloak. "Put that over Elijah." Beatrice understood it was to lessen the smell for Hannah's benefit and did as told quickly.
