Samantha's gaze followed Alice.
Garxena's cheeks flushed. Even if she could swim, she wasn't sure she'd join in.
"Believe what you want. I'm keeping my eyes on him." Kairuto glared at a wall.
Hannah smiled softly. "Thanks."

"If I ever get out of line... I want you to stop me." Hannah said, opening her eyes and looking at the ceiling. "I don't want to hurt anyone..."
Garxena carefully got off of Zepharus. "Someone has already died because he loved me... and Silax has too, but he's back now. I couldn't bear to have someone else die too...."
Hannah kept her eyes closed. "Would you promise me something?"
Garxena shook her head. "I don't think I can...."
Hannah closed her eyes. "Van Helsing, are you really okay with us? I mean, the fact of what we are." She asked suddenly.
"You certainly are now." Garxena smiled.
Hannah resisted the urge to stick her tongue out at Van Helsing. They just don't understand that I'm staying because I'm... scared. She admitted to herself once Edward was gone. I don't want to run into Elijah again.
Hannah sighed. "If you want to go into the city, then go ahead. I'll stay here with Beatrice and the horses. I don't mind."
"No." Hannah replied. "I'm fine staying in the shadows."
"I think I've forgotten how to breathe." Garxena looked around, enthralled by the sights.
Garxena smiled. "That's incredible."
"You were serious about that?" Garxena's eyes lit up. "I mean, I don't want to bother you or anything..."
