"Can't you wake up Carl to go with her?" Hannah grumbled at Van Helsing as she watched Beatrice go with Lexi and Sorin. "And no, I can't get Edward; he's sleeping." Beatrice led Lexi on her right while Sorin followed on her left. "You really shouldn't overwork yourself." She chided Sorin. "It wouldn't be a big deal if you slowed down." Sorin nudged Beatrice's shoulder in repsonse. "I'm not going to make you. Just think of your team. They've got to keep up with you so make sure you don't wear them out."
"I'll take two at a time." Beatrice said, still smiling at Sorin. "I don't want them to get into any squalls." She turned around to look at Van Helsing. "I could take Lexi with Sorin if you'd like." "Are you sure you want to go alone?" Hannah asked before Van Helsing could answer. "Oh, right...." Beatrice thought for a moment. "You can come Hannah." Hannah cringed. "I don't think I'm the best person to be alone with you." John smirked. So she's interesting in this girl as well?
OOC: oh yeah =^^= Beatrice followed Van Helsing to the side of the path after the sun had risen for a couple hours. "I'm going to take the horses for water." She told Van Helsing as she was getting off the carriage. She could hear Carl snoring slightly and giggled. She went over to Sorin and stroked his neck. "You don't have to give it so much. You've got help you know." She fixed a knot in the gelding's mane. Hannah drew up the hood of the cloak Beatrice had given her and, careful not to wake Edward, stepped out of the carriage.
"I'll stay with you then." Hannah said, not thinking or speaking what she really felt. Beatrice smiled. "She and Sorin are a little competative." OOC: like jacob's any better >:P
OOC: EDWARD CULLEN IS!! >=} Hannah's cheeks heated. "For what?" "Let's wait for the sun." Beatrice decided. She knew it would be best to cover as much ground as they could quickly. Of course she's not going to sleep. John grumbled to himself in his thoughts. This makes for more complications.
Of course she will. I'm not sure I'm up for another round. Hannah moved next to Edward. "You sleep. I'm not tired." "How much farther do you want to go?" Beatrice called to Van Hesling. Though she really wanted to ask 'when are we stopping'.
"My balance is fine." Hannah smiled. "You're welcome." She was back with Edward before Van Helsing could blink. She sighed, leaning her head back. "I can't believe I just said all that...." Beatrice had formed several different faces in her head before she noticed that the time had flown with Hannah's story. The sun will be rising soon. I wonder if we'll be stopping or continuing through the day. I'd much rather we stopped and let the horses rest.
Hannah shook her head fervently. "He's already hurt Edward; I don't want anyone else to get hurt." He must be really strong. Beatrice thought, already forming a picture of Lestat in her head.
Hannah wiped her tears away. "Now you can't say I'm keeping things from you." She tried to get rid of her fear and sadness. "Edward and I don't know who he's helping. He told Edward that he knows of a way to kill John without... without killing me. But he did attack Edward. I don't really know if I can trust him, but I'm going to trust Edward." Beatrice thought over what she'd heard. Lestat. It's a nice name, but Hannah's right not to fully trust him. I don't know if I can make heads or tails of him either. I wish she'd described him.
"... It's not like we had a choice," Hannah said, reaching the part of meeting John. "Edward insisted on coming. It was a bit less frightening with him there. But once we actually met up with John...." She paused. "You saw how I am around him. Anyway, Edward held onto me, but John's a very good tormentor. He got Edward to let go of me, and then another vampire, Edward said his name is Lestat, took Edward away." Her voice started to shake. "I was alone with John... and I was really afraid.... Not just for myself, but for Edward too. More for him really. John said some things to me.... Things I really don't want to believe about myself but sound so true." She paused again. "Edward came back.... He told me Lestat let him go.... He managed to get a few good punches in on John. That's the last thing I remember before waking up in the carriage." Hannah had her arms wrapped around herself at this point to try to control her shaking. "What I saw... What John made me see... What I'll probably see if I go to sleep again... It was so scary. They were images of Edward... dying.... I- I know Edward told me that it won't happen... but they're so...." She couldn't continue. Her frame shook from her tears, part of her embarrassed that she had started crying and part relieved to do so.
"I'll get to that." Hannah said before continuing the story. Beatrice looked down at Sorin. He's really working. It's like he wants to outshow the other horses. She smiled. Silly Sorin, you'll always be the best one to me.
Hannah went back to Van Helsing, taking a second longer. "Where was I?" She asked, her tone a bit disinterested. So I have to work on my sword skills, maybe learn a bit of first aid, and see if I can fix Sorin's shoe. Beatrice mused. Though I would like to relax for a bit. She sighed. Maybe I've been doing too much of that. I should help out more I guess. But what can I do? Learning more useful things would help everyone more than anything else. Or I could- She sighed again. It's getting harder for me to fit in here.
Hannah looked at her hands in her lap, her cheeks turning pink. "Um, I promised Van Helsing I would tell him what happened.... I'm sure he's waiting...." Beatrice switched the reigns to one hand while she brushed her hair out of her face as the wind picked up. Well it was a nice, calm, quiet night. I hope this wind doesn't get too bad.
Hannah carefully moved to look at Edward's injuries. "Better," She confirmed, lightly running her fingers around the ones that looked the worst. She looked away from Edward, her hands back in her lap. "I'm sorry... I shouldn't have...."
"You're sweating," Hannah noticed and moved her hands to his forehead and cheek. "I'll stay now."
"Edward...?" Hannah hesitantly touched his shoulder. "Is it John?"
Hannah stopped after her second bullet wound from Elijah, her sharp ears catching Edward's attempted quieted noise. "Excuse me. You'll get to hear the rest so don't complain." She said to Van Helsing, and swiftly went back into the carriage. "Edward?" She sat next to him, her voice now reflecting worry instead of mock polietness.
Hannah rested her head in her hands. She glanced at Van Helsing and then began to tell him what had happened, starting with her first encounter with Angelyn.
Hannah forced herself not to give Van Helsing a dirty look. "I'm already upset, I'd appreciate it if you didn't insult Edward. Besides, I don't mind the handling of the carriage." She looked at the sky. Once again, things are going wrong....
"I won't hurt him too badly." Hannah joked. She kicked the door open, swung out onto the roof of the carriage, kicked the door shut, and sat next to Van Helsing all in the matter of a second. "Now what?" She smiled at Van Helsing.
