"Then he's joined our little time table." Hannah sighed bitterly. "I want to be with you, Edward, but I cause so much trouble." Beatrice adjusted Sorin's bridle, though it didn't need to be. That was harsh.
"Let him listen," Hannah muttered. "He won't hear anything pleasent from me." Beatrice tried to ignore the two as she finished Sorin's harness and moved to his bridle.
"Most vampires only help people to use them later." Hannah said, still mumbling. "Lestat might want you to get rid of a vampire who crossed him or something." Beatrice knew she'd be just as angry if it had been Sorin that was taken, so she did what Van Helsing told her without bothering to say anything.
"You don't know what he wants?" Hannah mumbled, closing her eyes again. "Sorin's pulled things much heavier than a carriage by himself." Beatrice folded her arms. "He's perfectly capable of it."
"It's fine." Hannah answered. "Edward... How come Lestat hasn't just told you what you want yet?" "They kinda took Lexi..." Beatrice told Van Helsing gently; she knew he'd be upset about it.
"I don't know." Hannah answered. She didn't want to be near people at this point. "Hannah and Edward are still gone...," Beatrice noticed. "Where do you think they went?" She asked, trying to change the subject.
Hannah just sighed, opening her eyes and staring the ground. "Are you okay?" Beatrice asked Jinx.
John threw Jinx to the side. "You've spoiled everything!" He raged. "I should tell Will to try killing you again!" "Stop it!" Beatrice yelled at John. John cast Beatrice a side glance. Knowing better than to pick a fight with a newborn, he bowed his head slightly and then left. "Sorry...." Hannah apologized, her voice still low.
John just held Jinx tighter. "Stay out of this, Lestat." He grumbled, keeping his eyes on Jinx. "I want her, Edward...." Hannah moaned, not moving. "I..." She exhaled. "I'm tired...." Beatrice squeaked again, but held onto Angelyn so she wouldn't fall. "Um.... Crud."
Hannah clenched her jaw, her fangs digging into her gums. She soon tired of struggling against Edward and just stayed still, her muscles aching. John looked at Beatrice. "A newborn, hm?" He smirked, and then tossed Anglyn to Beatrice. Beatrice squeaked and caught Angelyn, grinding to a stop. Hannah closed her eyes, her breathing returning to normal, as they got farther away from Angelyn. John pulled Jinx into a tree. "You really shouldn't interfere." He said in a low voice, holding her wrists against the tree. Beatrice let go of Angelyn. "Go... now." Angelyn's smell wasn't as appealing to her as it was to Hannah, but it was still the smell of blood.
Hannah pulled against Edward's hold, angered that the scent was fading. John sighed. Edward was only making this more fun for him. He slung Angelyn over his shoulder and bolted off after Lexi. He knew changing would only frighten Angelyn; and there was nothing more annoying, and appealing, than a frightened girl. "You're stronger than that, Hannah."
"Fine; I'm going." John grith his teeth and trudging towards the carriages, practically dragging Angelyn with him. Hannah tried to detach herself from the shackles of hands as Angelyn scent grew stronger. Her eyes already finding exactly where she'd be coming from.
Hannah was soon breathing quickly with the effort of controlling herself. Her eyes flickered back and forth between the trees and the members of her group as she contemplated going after Angelyn. "Hannah, are you trying to keep our guest waiting?" John gently touched Angelyn's cheek. "Don't worry, she'll come soon, dear." Hannah's eyes flared red and she struggled against Jinx and Edward. "Just let him go, Carl. He knows what he's doing." Beatrice told the friar.
"I can't help it...." Hannah murmured, tearing her gaze away from the trees. "Just one more minute." John said. "Hannah, we're waiting for you. Miss Von Cullen is looking forward to seeing you." Hannah's eyes went back to the trees. "Edward... Don't let go of me...." Beatrice sniffed the air. All I smell is Carl. I don't see what Hannah's getting so worked up about.
"Who are you to say so?" John returned Lestat's gaze. Hannah calmed at Edward's voice, sinking back into the carriage seat. "Sorry...." She said quietly, though she was still intent on Angelyn's scent. "Maybe we should leave." Beatrice suggested.
Hannah pulled away from Jinx. "I don't care." She murmured, her eyes trained on the trees.
Hannah just stared at the trees. She's so close.... I could easily go to her... So easily... "Hannah?" Beatrice said a little louder. Hannah started and looked over at Beatrice and Jinx. "Do you... smell her...?"
"They wouldn't be dumb enough to go to the carriages, would they?" Beatrice asked. "You'll see." John muttered. Hannah froze as she caught Angelyn's scent, her eyes instantly melting to gold. They're close... SHE'S close...
"I give her five minutes." John chuckled. "Let's get back then." Beatrice said. Hannah opened the door of the carriage bit to relieve the heat. She smiled at the cool night air. I hope Edward doesn't mind. I like the cold.
"Right here. It's a fine enough distance." John replied. "The same?" Beatrice asked.
