Hmm, that's odd. Maybe there is some kind of background in the render which is just invisible and is taking up the space in-between the image ending and looping. I don't think there is a way to increase the speed on a marquee, as far as I know you can only have the image loop at a fixed speed, but I'm not really one to know about the BB Codes and how they work.
It's looping for me also. It does take a fair bit of time to start looping though it seems, in my case anyway. Maybe that's happening with you too?
You should have made them play Silent Hill 3. I cannot unsee the final boss of that game, nor the fetus scene before it.
