Devon tried to continue to walk up the one million steps that were ahead of her,but had to stop every floor. The cold from outside had really affected her in such a short time, her legs were wobbling, her eyes were turning red, and she kept bumping into walls. She couldn't stop sneezing also and had nearly fallen down the stairs a couple of times. She knew that she shouldn't continue, it was probably safer for her to fall asleep on the floor than to keep going up, but the thought of a nice warm bed beckoned her to keep going. She had made it up to the 10th floor when she had fallen to the floor, struggling to get back up, her cold had made her forget which floor she was on. Her arrogence kept her going, thinking that she would recognise the number while stupidly forgeting that her key card, with her number on it, was in her pocket. She had pulled herself up when she looked out the window as the snow had slowed down, "Now it's calm?", she said to herself angrily as she started to head for another set of stairs.

oh and fyi the lifts arn't working
