"Okay!" Angel caved. "You can scare him a bit. I don't know if it will solve anything though."
"You'll scare the crud out of him." Angel rolled her eyes. "But, honestly, he's got muscles, and I really don't want a fight just because I can't deal with something on my own."
"I'll figure something out on my own." Angel said, not wanting an unneeded fight.
"I wish it was that simple," Angel cracked a smile. "No, he still comes to my house, asking for the predictions he knows I can't give."
"Like I said, it's not your problem." Angel said, seeing that Advent's response was slim.
Angel took a deep breath. "He's not trying to get to me. I can't get away from him. It's not like he's physically hurt me or anything, but it's like he scares my dreams away. I just have normal nightmares if he presses me too far. We're not together anymore. I have my friends to thank for that."
Garxena took Xeal's hands in her own. "Please, don't. I don't want you hurt."
"I knew he worked with Hideo." Garxena admitted. "He... saved me from Takeshi... told me he wasn't working with Hideo anymore.... He promised me he would stay with me and never let anything hurt me. I just didn't want to be alone.... Now that Kai has left, he's the only family I have. But he... he lied to me.... I know I shouldn't have believed him. Kai warned me. Silax warned me. Everyone knew, but I just can't be alone. He offered me protection, and I took it...."
Angel shook her head again. "It's not your problem."
"It's okay," Garxena tried to be reassuring. "It wasn't so bad...."
Angel shook her head meekly.
"Um," Angel hesitated again. "I didn't exactly get rid of him."
Garxena cautiously opened her eyes. "I know... I was wrong to trust him... You don't have to rub it in...."
"What more is there to add?" Angel kept her eyes lowered. "It's obvious how it turned out...."
Garxena moaned and curled into a ball, keeping her eyes shut tightly, afraid of what she might see.
John raised an eyebrow. "They're not that smart." "I've grown used to them, Edward." Hannah said, trying to sound convincing. "I'm not going to keep you up."
Angel lowered her eyes to the sidewalk. "I've only been in one relationship," She began. "It wasn't with a nice guy." She hesitated. "I thought he loved me. Turns out his only loves were money and.... Well, I made the mistake of talking to him about my dreams. He thought I had control over them and started asking me to predict things for him. I tried to explain to him that they didn't work that way, that I don't know how they work. He got angry...."
