The whole reason it becomes like that is because of OCD. I swear I should not be playing Minecraft >.> I end up spending a whole night in-game just being a freaking perfectionist about everything, I go as far as to make random tunnels that no one will ever see look nice and neat and it's SO ANNOYING. Well that's strange...maybe you should set the controls back to default and see if it works like that?
