"He did what to Bee?" Hannah asked, suspicious, protective anger edging her voice. "And do you mean he's... a lycan?"
"She didn't even say good-bye...," Garxena chocked back her sobs. Hiro squeezed out from between Garxena and Silax and moved to the arm of the couch.
Hannah was still for a moment. "Why was... Michael here? Why isn't van Helsing being paranoid about him?"
Hannah clung to Edward. "I want... I really want to just... tear someone apart... to kill them in the worst way I can.... I don't, but I do."
Hannah cracked a smile. "You don't want to know," Her smile faded and she embraced Edward. "God, I'm so sorry, Edward."
Garxena nodded stiffly, trying to keep from crying.
"No," Hannah began her voice softer. "No, don't leave. I don't know what I'll do if I'm alone." She looked up at Edward now, her eyes searching his. "I'm sorry... I... I really didn't mean to be so harsh..." Beatrice tilted her head in thought. Non-sleeping... She mulled over the idea.
Hannah turned her head away from Edward, her hood falling off. Her anger still boiled inside her. She shut her tearless, stinging eyes. "John will make me say it. Thank you... for not being like him." "That's a good idea," Beatrice said. "We've got about eight hours."
"We have to find her first...," Garxena answered, barely able to keep her voice steady. Hiro floated down into Garxena's lap.
"Leave me alone!" Hannah jerked away from Edward, hating the eyes that he had to look at, and moving to the other side of the room in a flash. "Why do you want to know everything?! Can't I have one secret? One thing that's mine to tell to whom I want?!" Beatrice agreed with Van Helsing, "If it's a short ride, we should be able to stay on a road and that will make it easier for Hannah to rest."
"It's a promise," Garxena smiled. Hiro spun in a tight circle. "Let me help!" Garxena laughed. "I heard you have very good decorating tastes, Hiro." Hiro nodded. "Very good!" Garxena's smile faded. "Kai... should be there...." Her sister's name sent painful stabs into her non-present heart.
"I don't want to talk to anyone," Hannah muttered, rubbing her eyes as if it would change their color. "I think we should wait...," Beatrice answered carefully. "Hannah doesn't seem up to traveling."
"Whatever he told you is enough." Hannah said stubbornly.
Garxena lifted her left hand and wiggled her fingers. "We never really set a date." Hiro floated up and inspected Garxena's ring.
Hannah shook her head. "You already know. I can tell." Beatrice looked at Michael. "John is one of the ones that crossed the line."
Spoiler MMmmm... The last two pages were so worth all the crap in the middle...
"This is none of your business." Angel's voice was low and hard. "I'm grateful for what you've done for Claire and me, but please don't get involved in our family affairs any further." Claire glanced between Angel and Advent. They've got a heated relationship...
Garxena smiled back at Silax. "Hopefully she'll be back to herself now." Hiro cuddle in Garxena's lap. "No more jobs?"
"No," Angel snapped. "It came from my father's side and he's dead. Claire is my half-sister." "But wouldn't it be cool if I did?" Claire smiled. "I could help." "Claire," Angel sighed. "It's too dangerous. You've seen-" "But if I had a power, none of this would have happened!" Claire protested. "I could have defended myself, fought back!" "I won't let you put yourself in danger again!" Angel argued. OOC: i like secrets!
