OOC: what...? BIC: John looked at Edward, masking a wince. So you came to play hero? Hannah felt the pain start to numb her mind and body. John moved back over to Hannah. And you were doing so well. He knelt next to and turned her head towards him. It's only two words. And now you can tell Edward too. Weak anger rose in Hannah as she tried to turn her head away. "It was a blood exchange!" She rasped when fresh pain raked through her. "That wasn't so hard, was it?" John stood back up.
Let him come. I'd like him to see Hannah like this. John told Lestat, not breaking his focus on Hannah. Hannah dragged in ragged breaths. "John..." "What?" John sneered. "Go to Hell!" Beatrice knocked John away from Hannah, tackling him to the ground. John threw Beatrice off himself. He glanced at her crumpled body by the tree and the blood on the back of her head that stained her blond hair. "You should have stopped that, Hannah." He chided. "Bee...," Hannah cried out when a new pain shocked through her head. "John, stop it!" She hated herself for begging, but what else could she do?
Hannah's black eyes flashed towards the sound of Edward's approach. John moved behind Hannah as fast as he could. He held her arms to her side, fangs close to her neck. Word for word, Hannah. Say it. A low growl rumbled through Hannah's clenched jaw. She found it too easy to shake John's hold off her. She grabbed his wrist when he tried to restrain her again. "I told you I wouldn't." She flicked her wrist, breaking John's. John yanked his hand back, cracking the bones back into place. My patience is gone. Hannah couldn't tell what John did, but the pain that filled her head after his words was unbearable. She crumpled to her knees, grasping her head. Her sight returned, the feeling of strength disappearing. She cried out from the continuous pain. I've just started. John approached Hannah. Does it hurt that much? Hannah swallowed her scream, wondering what brought about the change of events. Say it! Hannah curled over. "Stop it!" She felt as though she was being ripped apart from the inside. Oh no, Hannah, not yet. You have to beg for death. John stroked Hannah's hair.
John skidded backwards in the dirt. So this is what hurts you? His suspicion was confirmed when Hannah backed up a step. You're pathetic, Hannah, He stretched his ability. I could do this forever. Tell me, how much does it hurt? How long can you take this and still focus on your petty anger? Hannah shook her head back and forth, pain already starting to replace her anger. She cried out in frustration; John was standing perfectly still, not even breathing, and she couldn't tell where he was. "Coward," She spat, still trying to get rid of the pain in her head. "You're only doing that because you know I'm finally stronger than you." Maybe, John stepped towards Hannah. Hannah easily caught the change in the air. She turned towards John, crouched again. She could form a picture in her head thanks to the scents in the air. Stop fooling yourself, John snapped. You're not going to live through tonight. He couldn't tell if Hannah's cringe was from the pain of his voice or his statement. I want to hear you say it Hannah! Tell me what you did! "No!" Hannah shouted, loud enough for anyone to hear. Beatrice jerked around towards the sound of Hannah's voice. What's going on?
John slowly got to his feet. "Do it," He laughed, arms outstreched. "It's suicide for you though." Hannah kept her sightless eyes on John, registering every small movement he made. "That's why I won't," She snarled. "Because of Edward. I won't do that to him." Very cute, John said sarcastically, trying the mental approach again. That's not going to stop me though. He lunged at Hannah. Hannah whipped out her arm, knocking John back before he could get to her, her free hand on her head. As strong as she felt physically, John's voice in her head was like daggers.
Get on you knees. John ripped his voice through Hannah's mind, paying no heed to Lestat. Hannah groaned and gripped her head. Her legs shook, but she stayed standing. "No." You're a traitorous little wench, John slammed Hannah back up against the tree. You'll beg for death soon. Hannah's hate shot up when John touched her. She barely comprehended his words, only the pain of them. Her eyes clouded over to black, leaving no other color. The shock of losing sight threw her off for a moment, but she was more surprised by how much more acuratly she could asses the situation without it. John tightened his grip on Hannah, a small part of him wondering why Hannah didn't seem to register it at all. What the hell trick are you pulling? He snapped as roughly as he could. Hannah bared her fangs in a smirk. She drove her knee into John's stomach as an answer and hit him away from her. She tilted her head, listening to where John went. She could tell where the trees where placed using both her ears and nose. Her smirk widened to a grin. "I really wish I could kill you right now."
A growl escaped Hannah's lips when John emerged from the shadows. Her body automatically moved into a crouch, ready to attack. John glared at Hannah. "If you knew I was coming, why didn't you run?" "Running's off my list of options," Hannah replied in a coarse voice. John laughed bitterly. "So you're letting your temper get away from you so you can have a chance against me?"
Rei gave himself a boost ahead with a bit of magic, a few of his feathers falling to the treehouse and ground. "Too much?" "Barely felt it," Kairuto answered. "I think I'm finally getting used to your magic." "Only because I know how to use it properly," Rei shook his hair out of his face. "Unlike Megumi."
"Just go," Hannah ordered Beatrice. "I'll meet you back here." Beatrice couldn't help feeling pity for Hannah as she headed into the trees. I really wish she didn't have to go through this. Hannah leaned back against a tree, letting her head loll backwards to rest against the trunk. She closed her eyes, once again focusing on her other senses. After a moment, her eyes snapped open again. If he's coming for a fight, I'll sure as Hell give one to him. She looked towards where John would be coming from.
"Looks like they've got a fun filled day ahead of them." Rei declined as he circled. "But we've got work to do," Kairuto reminded Rei. "You always have to bring it back to that," Rei sighed but smiled.
Then you can do it, John said to Lestat. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to find Hannah. He moved away from the stables and followed Hannah's scent. Beatrice stopped with Hannah. "Please, Hannah, tell me what's wrong." Hannah laughed bitterly, both at Beatrice's and Lestat's words. "Do I have to spell it out for you, Bee? Look at me. Figure it out." Beatrice was a bit taken aback by Hannah's harsh tone. She remembered Michael's warning. "Hannah, I don't understand." "Then don't try to," Hannah said through grit teeth. "Michael claims he's like me, but all he does it stare at me as if I'm so kind of thing without emotions. He's the one who's supposed to understand me. At first, I wanted to meet another... monster like me, but now I don't want to be near him. It's like he has a claim on me," She growled. "I'd like nothing more than to break that body of his." "Hannah," Beatrice tentatively reached out but pulled her hand back when Hannah jerked away. "He just wants to help."
Rei opened his wings, catching the air and stopping himself. "It's nice." He commented. "Let's hope we don't drag any fights to it." Kairuto replied. "I'll try not to." Rei chuckled, beating his wings to gain more altitude.
OOC: >.< editing is hurting my dead brain! BIC: "Let's go now then," Hannah said to Beatrice. "We'll be ten minutes at most." She said to the others, already heading out of the stables. "Be right back," Beatrice whispered to Sorin and then followed Hannah. "You okay?" She asked, noticing Hannah's blank stare. "Thinking," Hannah murmured in reply, rubbing her neck. "Do you want to talk about it?" Beatrice asked, inferring about the last night. "I've told you secrets before and you haven't kept them," Hannah answered acidly. "That's because I thought it best that Edward know," Beatrice tried to amend. Hannah shook her head. "Don't worry about it," She sighed. "You go on ahead," She told Beatrice when they reached the edge of the trees. "I'm... not in the mood."
Hannah watched Michael, wondering why he kept staring at her. "Are you going to come with Jinx and I before we go?" Beatrice asked Hannah. "Sorry, what, Bee?" Hannah gave Beatrice an apologetic smile as she was jerked from her thoughts. "I just assumed that we'd go hunting before we left." Beatrice said. "Uh, yeah, I'll come. It has to be quick though." Hannah replied. "Alirhgt," Beatrice went over to Sorin and kissed his nose. "Staying a stall must be boring you so much." She said quietly. But I get a stall next to the mares. Sorin nudged Beatrice's shoulder. "I should have known you'd like that," Beatrice smiled and ran her fingers through Sorin's forelock. Tradition is more affective than rules, John murmured. He listened to the conversations through Hannah, already thinking of how the night would go.
"Agreed," Hannah tried to smile. Beatrice entered the stables with Michael. "Are they ready?" She asked. If we did kill him, one of us would have to take his place. And I'd rather not be hunted down for the rest of my existance. John retorted. OOC: brain... dead...
"I'm not suffering," Hannah objected, standing up. "I'm just confused." She shook her hair free and settled it over her shoulders. "I see," Beatrice cringed at the thought. You underestimate him. John replied. I'm sure you two are evenly matched. OOC: nighty night!
"Okay... I'll just... do what comes naturally, I guess," Hannah bent over to check Saphire's hooves, twisting her hair into a bun so it wouldn't fall in her face. "Oh," Beatrice automatically slowed her pace. "You said before that Hannah shouldn't get mad. Why?" John shook his head, drifting towards the stables. I don't want any trouble with Dracula.
Hannah purposefully kept her eyes on Saphire's mane. "Lot's of things. I don't know what I'm doing so I could do something wrong." Beatrice guided Michael towards the stable. "So... you intend to take Jake's horse? I don't know if it's a mare or stallion. How good are you with horses?" I have no intention of working with you. John retorted. Do what you want on your own. Once Hannah's dead, I'm leaving. OOC: lies I tell you!
Hmmmmm....>> << *vampire bites CTR*
"Edward," Hannah spoke his name slowly, an emotion she had no name for building in her. "I can't do this if I'll lose you." With slow deliberation, she unknotted Saphire's mane. "Van Helsing didn't like any of us at first," Beatrice said. "I think it's just a matter of time before Edward likes you." Anna Valerious's castle. Dracula's old home. John answered unenthusiastically.
