Daine noticed Sam's gaze and smiled at her with a small wave and a thumbs up before going back to her book. Mr. Lancer placed Sam's quiz on her desk. "Eyes on your own paper." Danny bit his lip, knowing he should have actually read the pages instead of skimming them.
"You'll find out," John began warily. "Just like everyone else." Hannah was quiet for a moment. "I'll sit that one out. I don't like being around her." "I see," Michael said slowly. "And what if it were Jinx and not Beatrice?" Beatrice smiled. "That sounds good."
"Good," Rukia responded nonchalantly. "What is it?"
"You're not going to look for him, are you?" Angel asked quickly.
Rukia stopped at the call of a congratulations. "For what?" She asked the woman. "On passing the Chuunin exams," The woman answered. Rukia shrugged. "It was easy." She muttered and continued on her way. I'm just hoping I can qualify for the Jounin position quickly. I'm tired of all the easy stuff.
Daine pulled out a book from her backpack titled The Ways of Ghost Hunting, and flipped it open to her bookmarked page. Danny glanced over at Daine before starting on his quiz.
Angel nodded. "He was in a corner by a door. With... an arm missing... and-" She shook her head, refusing to continue. "It was just really nasty to be put plainly..." OOC: he isn't on very often =(
Danny glanced over at Sam, Daine, and Tucker, and gave them a thumbs up. Daine smiled back. "Alright everyone, be quiet." Mr. Lancer instructed. "Today we have a new student: Daine Masters. Everyone except her will be taking a pop quiz on the reading you were supposed to do as homework." Danny groaned. "Is there a problem with that, Mr. Fenton?" Mr. Lancer asked. "Uh, no, sir," Danny answered. "I'm just so ready to ace this quiz that I-" "Save your excuses," Mr. Lancer interrupted. "Any talking starting now will be considered cheating." He started handing out the quizes.

Rukia walked aimlessly among the crowd, ignoring calls of hello or questions of how she was.
Daine kept up with Sam and Danny. Danny laughed, surprising himself. "Today's going to be fun."
"Thomas called my house," Angel sighed. "Demanding more things from me. He scared Claire a bit, but she's fine." She left out an explination of the last half of her conversation. OOC: my Loveable Nerds list :laughing-smiley-004
"You'll find out," Danny smiled and rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed.
Rukia headed back to the streets, not bothering to wait for her team. It's not like we have a mission today anyway. I can miss this meeting.
Angel used her free hand to wipe her tears away. "I shouldn't have said all that." Her cell phone rang, making her jump. She took it out of her pocket, keeping her other hand in Advent's. "Hello? Claire? Wait, slow down. What is it?" She listened for a moment. "If he calls again, don't answer. If he really wants to talk to me, he'll call my cell phone. Don't worry, okay? Yes, I'm fine. No, I wasn't crying. Claire..." She paused again, listening to Claire. "I know, Claire. You'll go for me, won't you? Thanks. I promised I'd come back, remember? Just wait for me. Love you too, Claire." She closed her phone and put it back in her pocket. OOC: lol don't worry, one of my really good friends is half hispanic and she gets upset if you call her mexican >.< i don't know about putting you on my List of Smexiness, but there's another list i'd put you on ^^
"Well," Danny began a bit awkwardly. "There is something I wanted to talk to you about."
Rukia dropped from her place in the trees. I'll let them alone now, but I'm definately going to talk to that kid later.
Danny cleared his throat. "Uh, Sam... how 'bout you and I eat lunch alone today? Daine can stay with Tucker."
"Back then I thought they were just dreams," Angel began quietly. "But when I started telling my dreams to my dad, he thought otherwise... He was excited... but he was worried too, I could tell. He always knew when I'd drempt something bad... He'd always smile and tell me, 'It doesn't have to happen soon. Just smile and you'll be fine.'" Angel's voice broke, tears falling down her cheeks. "I knew it would happen... the crash. Two weeks before it did. I told him and all he did was smile and say that it was his time. And I was there... I was in the crash with him... I watched him die... He told me to 'just smile'..." She paused, her voice thick with emotion. "I didn't cry at the time... I knew it would happen... But now I miss him more than anything...."
