"Belriel," The she-elf answered as she got her bow ready.
"Really now?" Belriel smiled in amusment; it had been a long time since she'd been talked to this way. "We'll just see. I'm going to end this unjustful reign. Feel free to come along. But first, I've got to get past the guards."
I think (and don't take this to be harsh) that in the olden days, someone got incrediblly bored or frustrated and made up an explination for things that couldn't otherwise be explained at the time. To me, that's where "God" came from.
Belriel tucked a loose strand of her black hair behind her pointed ear. "I can handle it. You're underestimating me."
"I've done fine by myself so far," Belriel said. "I don't need help."
Belriel was briefly puzzled. "Then I don't have to kill you." She sheethed her daggers. "I'm going in there."
Everything -- Lifehouse
"That," Belriel started acidly. "Is none of your business. You're either on his side, or against him. So tell me, which is it?"
"Is that so?" Belriel questioned. "Explain what you want then. I won't wait forever."
"Did you think I'd just surrender?" Belriel smirked.
Belriel jumped off the branch to another close by. The man's sudden closeness had caught her off guard. She quickly hooked her bow to her quiver and drew her daggers out of their sleeves on her belt. "Thanks, but you won't live to see much more of it."
I agreed that something had to creat the Big Bang, and I'm sure that some freakishly smart scientist will figure it out eventually. I'd do it myself, but my goal is the entertainment industry.
Belriel glanced for her next target. Seeing a man walking away, she grabbed another arrow and took aim; she could not risk being exposed. She loosed the arrow at the retreating man, hoping it would hit its target.
I, personally, do not believe in the notion of any god (though I have been looking into Greek "mythology"). I believe this because I simply do not like the idea of someone (or something) watching over me. I like to take care of myself and make my own life. But to PROVE that God, or any god, does not exist is a very hard thing to do. I'm a scientific person, so that adds to my "non-belief." I say, "If science can't prove it, it's not real." But that's just me. ^^
Belriel carefully knotched another arrow. Quickly, she fired at the next guard and crouched back in hiding. That was two down, but there were many more to go.
