    The Matrix

Eva curled into a ball, pulling the rough sheet closer around herself. She let herself relax and quickly fell asleep.

"Being a girl for once?" Angel laughed sourly, adjusting her fishnet gloves. "I've heard that one before."

Kuno rolled his eyes, a smile playing at his lips. Him and his normal life.

Eva's body went limp in Neo's arms. She was now sure that she was safe; there was no need for her to worried or scared anymore. Her entire self was relaxed, almost numb.

"And I will," Angel said, slight anger creeping into her voice. "Once I've made up for what I've done."

Claire patted Angel's head. "All done."

Angel winced but made no other sign that she was hurting. "Just stop worrying about me. I know what I'm doing."

Kuno nodded, though he wasn't quite sure what it was. "I'm looking forward to it."

Eva's head tilted to the side, her eyes closing again. She didn't feel right, liking the feeling of unconciousness more than conciousness.

Eva's eyes opened half way. "Uncle Thomas..?" She groaned, barely awake.

"Because it's my fault that he's dead," Angel said quietly. "And maybe... with all that's happening... maybe I can find a way to bring him back..."

There she goes again. Claire cut the string after she tied it securely.

"My father's death," Angel answered, now distracted from Claire's stitching. "I told you about it before."

"I think I might be coming down with something," Kuno lied. "But don't worry, I'll get over quickly."

"No," Angel growled. "I'm not lying. Nothing hurts. Since that day, every pain is a pinprick. I could never hurt as much as I did that day."

She'll never let it go... Claire thought sadly, pulling the needle and string. She'll always blame herself...

Angel's expression turned downward in a pout, but then changed to pain as Claire began to stitch up her head.

"Sorry," Claire apologized. "I don't have anything to numb you up."

"It's fine," Angel said through grit teeth. "It doesn't hurt."

    "Am not!" Angel protested.

"Hold still!" Claire ordered. "If you keep moving I'll end up making zig-zags instead of proper stitches."

    The Matrix

OOC: Here goes! ............ *insert movie scene here* lol jk I'll write it. XD

BIC: Eva started to feel a bit lightheaded. For a moment, it felt like she was falling, and then she opened her eyes to find herself somewhere she didn't know. It was strange, and frightening, to change locations so quickly. But what worried her most was that she was alone, and... where were her clothes? She wrapped her arms around herself, and jumped slightly seeing all the cords. It was cold and dark, the two things that Eva disliked the most. She was just starting to wonder where everyone was when a machine came over to her, making her scoot back out of fear. She never did like robots all that much. A small cry of pain sent a slight echo through the empty air when the machine roughly pulled the plug out of her head. Eva trembled, feeling the other chords come undone. The liquid in her pod started to drain through the back, causing a suctional current that pulled Eva with it. She fought against it for a moment before realizing that this must be the way she had to go. What other way was there? As the slightly twisting tunnel came to an end, and Eva plumetted to the water below, the stress and fear took her over, and she lost conciousness under the water.

"I do get into a lot of trouble," Angel agreed.

Claire went over to the sink and wrung the blood out of the washcloth.

"But I don't need help," Angel finished.

Claire came back, wondering why Angel didn't just spit out the reason.

"Yeah," Kuno answered, making himself smile. He reminded himself that he needed to keep a light air. Either that or fake being sick. Being around Dark made his usual happy mood go down.

It's the whole picture (my scanner wouldn't fit it all). Up at the top, I had lyrics from "Nothing I Won't Give," Edward's name, and "The Fullmetal Alchemist."

Sorry it's so big. My scanner, as most of you know, is a piece of crud. >.<
