To see what this site has become is very... disheartening (pun not intended). I mean I grew up on here-- I was 12 when I joined. Sure I wasn't the most active for a lot of mine time but I still grew up here.

Tale, Cat, you deserved so much better than to be betrayed by a friend. I hope they are ashamed of themselves, but they probably won't be. Like I had to do myself with a server I worked on, move on and find better. It is out there and you deserve it.

It's sad that after everything KHV has been though, this is how it may die.

As far as I know, there is no canon answer for your question exactly. However in the second book/movie, we do get to see Hermione's parents escorting her to Diagon Alley where they met up with the Weasleys. So because of this, I'm going to assume there's probably something like a secret password or something. It's nice to think about.
(Also, taking a look at the wiki, it states that "In 1991, Mr Granger and his wife accompanied their daughter to Diagon Alley to purchase her school supplies, including her wand from Ollivanders Wand Shop." However, there's no citation that states where this information came from so your guess is as good as mine)
