I wouldn't make a big deal out of it myself. Obviously if the teacher said the comment in order to get people to laugh at you then I think he should apologize informally (as in don't bring it up to authorities and what not). Bringing the discrimination/racism into it...its really not that big of a problem and would only cause bigger unneeded ones.

ugh, OBVIOUSLY anything illegal is "bad" and in my opinion it would be the best thing to tighten up border patrol and make sure illegal immigrants don't come in but the way you support your view is pretty ****ed up. Alright so if you aren't already paying attention to the emboldened/underlined/italicized parts just take a good look at them. Seems to me like you're implying that ALL illegal immigrants who come in seem to want to protest and get away with being illegal. Do you think they have a choice? Sure its illegal, and you can stop them from coming into the country because thats what law says, but its not like these people have a choice. They either die in the terrible environment they were living in (which is why they left in the first ****ing place) or try to go to America with a big chance that they'll get caught and sent back but a small sliver of hope that they can live as working class citizens with a relatively better life. Survival transcends laws. And that second paragraph, while you manage to be a little less stereotypical we are still presented with: another ****ed up supporting argument. First off, if you were in the same situation where you left a country to cross the border into America illegally with your friends, family, and if not those people who look like you and think/feel most similarly to you it would be smart to stick together wouldnt it? Regardless of people being illegal immigrants or not, races stick together. And its good to have a diverse group of friends and such but at the end of the day people feel safest with someone of their own race/nationality. And when you mention a lot of the time they can be rude to any racist/non racist white person? LOL are you kidding me? What the **** does this have to do with ANYTHING? Illegal immigrant or not, PEOPLE are rude to each other, not just white people. This has nothing to do with supporting illegal immigration or not. Its not even factual. What are you going to do next? Stop people from speaking languages other than English? While it may seem true that a lot of illegal immigrants do not speak english, you went from talking about any type of illegal immigrant to talking about only Hispanic ones. There are AMERICANS in this country who do not speak english. I hope you know that, and if you dont, wake the **** up and figure it out. I mentioned that because they did an episode talking about this exact issue and I didnt necessarily agree/disagree with the way they presented it. And actually if you sat down and watched carefully degrassi, while melodramatic as hell actually has a lot of factual info in it.
