There are people among us with extraordinary abilities that set them above the rest of humanity. From understanding things on an advanced level easily to controlling minds. They are your friends, family members, and neighbors.

And while some are content living a normal everyday lifestyle others wish to use their gifts to gain fame, riches, power, or simply to be noticed, both peacefully and violently.

These people are referred to as Alphas and so far society remains unaware of their existence.

As one of them you have a role in the grand scheme of things. What that role is exactly remains unclear though the group you recently became apart of wishes to help people by using their powers and to do so while remaining hidden from the public eye.

A challenging task indeed, but you're up for it. Right?

Either by fate or coincidence you and a group of others happened by a mugging and were able to stop it. During so you discovered that these strangers were just like you, they were all Alphas. This realization caused the group to ponder if what had happened was by just chance or was it a sign telling them that this is what they should do. Help people.

A week has passed since then and this makeshift group has found a hang out and gathers there occasionally, idly passing time. So far there's been only talk of what they can do with little action but that will soon change.

[ Everything is worded like only Alpha characters may be created and yes, there will only be Alphas in the group starting off but that can change. Just a note to keep in mind. ]​

■ Basic KHV rules apply.

■ One ability per character. A link of abilities can be found here. All characters must have some form of side-effect, which can also be found in the link provided. The side effect can vary but it should still follow the base line given. If you're unsure about the side effect, or really, anything at all, feel free to contact me either through PM or Skype. (My skype name is aforgottensoul.)

■ PG-16 rating.

■ The ability Hypercognitive was deemed too powerful so it was modified and reserved for one spot only, which is already taken.

■ Starting off there will be a one character per power rule so we can have variety, but as more people join this rule will be removed.

■ Play fair. Try to stay active (Should be going at a steady pace but wouldn't want someone who posted once a month. If it is going too fast or slow feel free to say something about it though.) Give me a head ups if you plan on dropping. And remember your characters are free to do things on the side without needing my permission to run off on their own.

Side Effect(s) : Uses power without always noticing, headaches and dizziness after prolonged use, and her power can be addictive.
Personality: Rosalie believes that the only way to get what she wants is through her power and is left feeling helpless and frustrated whenever it fails. However when things are going her way she is quite content on letting it go to her head and will even take things or make others do things despite knowing it is wrong to do so, unless there is an emotional bond between the two.

Ability: Hypercognitive
Side Effects: Though Nicholas's mind can work on many independent levels at once with no loss of clarity, it is possible for him to overwork his brain which will cause a severe headache at the least which will keep him from using his ability for some time afterwards. Pushing his power farther than his normal limits causes him to bleed from his nose. His ability to have his mind function more effeciently and at a higher capacity than other Alphas does give him a sense that he is better than others and tends to isolate him from others.
Personality: Confident. Very confident. Nick tends to say things to imply he looks down on others but he really doesn't mean it. Not most of the time anyways. Nick is quick to take action and never leaves anything to chance. Though it doesn't seem like it, he does thinks things through before acting. While he would prefer to avoid conflict he is more than willing to use his fists when the time comes to get his hands dirty.

Ability: Morphogene

Ability's Side Effects: Borderline Personality Disorder, often enhanced and worsened by the Morphogene ability. He's essentially the same person, just one side of the coin feels intense negative feelings, while the other side feels intense positive feelings. His body naturally induces the change in appearance when the receptors in the brain are stimulated to cause what you'd call emotions. The side effects related to direct power use and not BPD are exhaustion and fatigue for prolonged power use with increasing pain. Failure to hold personas if used for long periods of time or rapid persona switching.

Personality: Jed as you know him is a laid back young man of 23. He enjoys long walks on the beach, is a Capricorn for those lovelies with inquiring minds, and he absolutely loves Butter Pecan ice-cream. But that's beside the point. Jed is definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed, but on the bright side it means he's the most harmless. Years spent dealing with the devastating side effect of his Morphogene ability has taught him take it easy, lest he tip the delicate balance in his mind. Jed tries his best to be kindly and warm to everyone he meets.

The complete opposite of the calm and rational, but slow Jed is just what you'd expect. A nasty tongued fellow, with nothing but negativity to spare. This side of Jed has a habit of smoking (usually stolen) cigarettes, and purposefully pushing people away from himself, as if he not only hated everyone else, but himself as well.

Side Effect(s) : Physical pain after usage. (Drug dependency to limit side effects.)
Personality:Nurturer, she likes to keep a relatively calm environment. It's easier to handle. When people are undergoing a heightened emotion, she takes it upon herself to relax them by absorbing the excess. This is usually done discretely by grasping the other person's hand or something of similar nature. In contrast, she tries to only spread about her positive emotions in other people. If she is pained by something, Thallen usually keeps it to herself so not to negatively effect the other. She's a bit of an introvert and does her best to avoid confrontation.

Side Effect(s) : She forgets abilities after 30 days and also has memory issues as learning new things causes to forget memories. She cannot remember most of her past due to it as well as impairing her social skills as she cannot remember past experiences to learn from.
Personality: Arianna is hard working and determined but often ends up as a loner. She finds it difficult to build up relationships with people when she keeps forgetting past interactions and conversations with them due to no fault of her own. Her personality also changes depending on what memories she has at the time. For the most part she is an optimist and kind, she is willing to give anything a go and work her hardest. She keeps calm most of the time, though can get emotional when things overwhelm her. She longs to just find a place where she belongs and figure out who she is.

Side Effect(s) : If used to much, he will start to develope fever like symptoms.
Personality:Reckless and Determined are perfect words to describe Vergil. Even though he's more reckless than anything, once he set's his mind to something, it's pretty difficult to get him to change his mind.

Sexuality: Undefined

Ability: Quantitative Aptitudinal

Side Effect(s): She tends to lead to thinking she can’t 1-up anyone technologically. She also gets more increasingly paranoid about everything (people, animals, places, events, government, etc.) the more time she spends inventing. Even more often she tends to pass out due to lack of sleep because once she starts making something she has to keep working until it’s done.

Personality: Teagan isn’t a quiet person, but doesn’t like to talk to anyone. Mainly because she likes to have people think that she is as smart as her inventions seem. Since she gets depressed and dropped out of college because she was bored, she became a drinker at 18. If she isn’t inventing or out in public at daylight, chances are she’s drunk somewhere, or on a computer in her own little world. If she does happen to talk to someone, she isn’t too good with words but tends to be more caring when she trusts the person enough.

Note:Teagan has 3 phones, one is blue, one is yellow, one is red. If you are on her red phone you are one of the people she trusts the most. If you are on the yellow phone you are a little more important, if you are on the blue one you either barely know her or she is paranoid about you.

Side Effect(s) : Increased intake of calcium via milk products and a vitamin supplement along with a drastically shortened temper and a lack of the self-preservation instinct.
Personality: Due to his abilities Ash cares little about his own self and places himself lower than dirt on a scale of worth. Holding a high threshold for pain and discomfort, Ash often doesn't understand the meaning of "ouch" and thus can't comprehend physical pain in others. When irritated, as easily as that's achieved, he meets opposition with a stubborn wall of anger. Ash cares deeply about what he considers his friends, though his definition of "friend" is a bit loose and varies from human to animal to plant life, and fiercely protective of said "friends".
