This is basically what Cin said and follows on logically from all pro-life supporters on the topic of the death penalty. The main argument pro-life demonstrators make is that the "human being" (lol) that is "killed (lol) when a "baby" (lololololol) is aborted had the potential to become another Mozart or Einstein.

They also had the potential to become another Hitler or a serial killer. The logical solution is to destroy all embryos to prevent the development of destructive human beings (as the negative effects of the destructive individuals outweighs the positive effects of the constructive individuals).

My main reason for opposing the death penalty is that death is the easy way out. Giving someone the death penalty is basically giving them a get out of jail free card. A life sentence is considerably worse than death. It lasts longer and offers a larger capacity for justice.

Not only that is the fact that the death penalty prevents the proving of innocents. A man who spent nearly 30 years in prison was recently freed because new evidence showed that he could not possibly have done it. If there had been the death penalty he would have been executed already and there would be no going back.

I am upset that this thread has disgraced the Discussion section. Why is this here? =/

Numbers are a man made concept. They are an arbitrary scale created by man kind in order to make description and explanation of the world easier. Therefore any "prophecy" (lol /lies) is wrong. It cannot possibly have any "universal" meaning because it was created by man. Any connection is a mere coincidence.

I am sick and tired of the blatant ignorance on the topic of evolution. People who say that evolution contradicts itself or doesn't make sense obviously don't understand evolution. To think that we evolved from monkeys makes you an idiot. We share a common ancestor, we did not evolve from monkeys or apes.

Evolution consists of natural selection which (unconsciously and completely without purpose) decides which genes survive in the gene pool. The more successful a gene is in the environment of the other genes as well as the external environment of the individual survival machine decides how populous a particular gene is. This is natural selection. It also explains why we are so protective of our kin (they are more likely to carry the same genes as ourselves) and of other humans (as misfiring as the gene mentioned before; we used to live in small communities for a long period of time. Large cities mean that we assume that we will meet anyone we come across again even though the chance of that happening is minuscule. This changes our behaviour towards this individual. We are more likely to be nice towards this person in order to increase the probability that we survive long enough to have offspring. This is why genetic disorders such as dementia and Alzheimer's are so common. This is because the symptoms of these disorders occur after the fertile years. This means reproduction is not affected and therefore the defective genes are passed on, even though the affects of such reproduction are usually eventually **** they don't affect the organism in the short term.

That is a ridiculous number of band members. And I thought The Saturdays had too many >_>
