yoooo Landslide is not a guilty pleasure, I ****ing love this song. My mom was a big Fleetwood Mac fan when she was around my age and so I've listened to a lot of their stuff (and Landslide was played on the radio quite a bit when I was growing up). It's a really beautiful song.

Depending on your feelings about Paramore, if you want to feel less guilty about listening to Landslide, in their live shows they sometimes work in a couple of verses from Landslide when they play In the Morning.

    Landslide comes in around 2:30.

The permission was added in Xenforo 1.2, hence why Alex didn't know it existed--it's not present on what we're currently running. The update to 1.2 isn't far off, so this can be revisited once that's done.

Are you seriously trying to validate her sexualization this way? Characters in books are just lines of text--is their treatment and portrayal meaningless? And what about movies--those characters are portrayed by actual people, or are they meaningless because they read off a script? Sexualizing characters goes hand in hand with objectifying (or DEHUMANIZING) them. If we cease to see them as humans, we can treat them however we wish. This is not even to mention how problematic and hurtful to see women in the media treated this way, but it's a slippery slope. Once it's okay for you to objectify female video game characters, you can objectify the women in books, movies, TV, and then eventually, your own life.

It's not the story I really have problems with, it's the blatant sexualization and objectification of Lightning by Toriyama, which has now spilled over into actual gameplay. I know the costume changes is nothing new (FFX-2) and has significance to the gameplay, but it's disgusting to me that this is what they do with their miraculous "look at us we have a female lead!!!!" character.

I have a lot of thoughts about the 50th but I'm trying to let them sit for a while, maybe re-watch the episode before I really write them down hehe.

As for Enzy's (possible) Christmas spoilers:
Even if the regeneration limit isn't tackled in the Christmas special, I imagine it will have to be with Capaldi--especially because, in the 50th, when all the Doctors were coming together to save Gallifrey, they said that it was "all 13." That leaves the implication that Capaldi will be his last regeneration. There are a lot of theories on how he could get around the limit (and I will kill someone not really if Doctor Who ends without a female or not-white Doctor), but I'm still really hoping that what we've discussed on and off about River in Let's Kill Hitler pans out. She just seems to me as such a major character (though again, haven't watched Classic Who) that I think it'd be a shame for her storyline to be "finished" with just a "goodbye sweetie." But that is largely influenced by my deep love for River.

I've also seen a theory floating around tumblr that Capaldi, knowing he's on his last regeneration, will be seeking Gallifrey to find a way to cheat death. That would resolve one of my problems with the 50th special (they removed a large part of the Doctor's internal conflict) in that it will give the Doctor a new conflict: whether he should be allowed to cheat death. This was done not so well in series six, but is an interesting moral conundrum: fighting the laws of time (BASICALLY PLZ JUST GIVE ME ANOTHER WATERS OF MARS).

Judging by this, it's at least consistent with the rest of the series. c:

I remember at age 9 or 10 I went to a neighbor's house and he made fun of me for taking off my shoes. It was the first time I'd ever seen a household like that. So, in my experience, most of us do take them off.

I mean, composition wise it makes sense that the last two episodes aren't as exciting as Ozymandias. Rising action, climax, falling action, resolution. It just felt as though they were wasting time trying to make the flashback work out, since they didn't have an actual plan for it when they did it. I also didn't like the Nazis that much, thy never became half the villain Gus was (though he of course had 2.5 seasons to be villain).

imo the last two episodes were really unsatisfying. Ozymandias was, for all intents and purposes, the finale. But enjoy the ride. Any speculation?

I don't think the default player is HTML5 based, but they're moving in that direction. Google in particular is very adamant about abandoning flash.
it depends. If your entire website is built on flash then it's not an easy change. This is very rare, though. Think of, for example, Square's websites for KH games. They have graphics moving around, sparkly effects, etc. they're made in flash, and once upon a time, if you wanted that showiness, flash was the way to do it. Think of it like a giant flash game made to look like a website. Nowadays, JavaScript and even CSS3 can replicate a lot of the effects of flash, and they're supported on most devices, unlike flash.

For most sites, they use flash for things like video or audio players. Those are easy to replace with HTML5 or Javascript.

There's really no reason for a website to rely on flash anymore. If they do, it's laziness/unwillingness to adapt. The only thing on here we use Flash for is file uploads, and iirc we have a fallback.

The real deciding factor for me is if it's installing crapware on my system then I have a distaste for the program itself. Flash is being phased out, anyway. Long live HTML5.

This is why you always do a custom/advanced install. The programs that hide options to not install things almost always put them in there.

The auto-embed doesn't support starting at a certain timestamp, you'd have to link it for it to work.
