It's just been confirmed that Israeli actress and model Gal Gadot (of Fast and Furious 4, 5, and 6 fame) has been cast as Wonder Woman for Batman vs. Superman. I'm sure after she goes through some training, she'll look the role even more, but I haven't seen anything besides Fast 4 so I don't know about her acting...but come on, Jamie Alexander would have been perfect.

I was totally naked (well, in a towel only) for a good thirty minutes a while ago. And I'm not even in my own house. e.
So the hard drive on my old laptop gave out (or something, still not sure) and I was without it for a few weeks. Finally, my girlfriend realized that she could just let me use hers that she never uses and hasn't touched in at least over a year. Some of you may remember me saying that she isn't very...tech savvy (like at all) and the laptop wasn't in the best condition. I finally get it up and running pretty smoothly so I take it with me to New York while I stay with my mom. I get back and...the screen's ****ed up. I think it got damaged in the luggage. The colors were all inverted and the screen much darker than usual. Google says its the LCD panel that's shot and needs to be replaced...I managed to invert the colors, but the it's still pretty dark and some colors are still blargh. Anyways, yeah, **** technology. /rant

As each soul seemingly clicked [Yes], the light surrounding them pulsated once. JackHammer wondered if one pulse meant yes and two pulses meant no as the Outsider started to speak again, its voice sounding like gravel crunching together inside your ear before turning into a smooth liquid that easily flowed in. [/url] "My excitement at your collective decision to join this world cannot be contained," the Outsider said without changing the tone of his voice. He paused for a moment to chew his apple, now reducing it to half, before continuing. "Before any of you take form, you must first decide the road that your life will take. Like all metaphysical roads of my own creation," the Outsider chuckled, "This path will paint a picture of yourself, perhaps a picture that you knew not exists. Until your new physical body is ready for you, your soul must take a form. Without form, there is no interaction with the world. You must now make a choice, young souls of Etiam: will you wield the sword of the warrior, defend with the shield of the guardian, pray with the staff of the cleric, or see through the eyes of the rogue? No worry, your choice will have no consequence on your eventual physical body. It is simply...an introduction to the laws of the land. However, your first form will grant you your first weapon, one that you will never betray you in combat and will always remain ready." The Outsider waved his non-apple holding hand as four symbols appeared between him and the souls, each with a floating weapon. "Now, choose, young souls. The four symbols -a sword, shield, staff, and eyeball- were the icons used for the four Orders in the instruction manual. "But I'm not choosing my Classes yet, am I? I thought my Race came first?" He pondered for a moment. <That's right.> appeared over Blood-Reign's soul. Reigner could hear JackHammer's speech and he realized that after clicking [Yes], they were now able to communicate. However, Reigner choose not to use his headset yet and simply typed. <OLI said this doesn't affect our future 'form.' Race and Classes must come later. This shouldn't matter.>Blood-Reign said as he started floating towards the shield icon. He was usually a 'Tank' player, but he wanted to try something different. Besides, if the Outsider was to be believed, he would get to pick his real Classes later. <This must be for the intro tutorial only. Or some special ability.> As he neared his chosen icon, Blood-Reign noticed that the other souls didn't move. 'That's pretty...cool,' he thought, realizing that each player was only going to see what they themselves chose and appear motionless to other players. Jack's eyes widened at the dialogue that appeared in a bubble over this Blood-Reign guy. "Oh, you can hear me?" The inexperienced gamer didn't realize that chat was officially opened. But since he wasn't that quick of a typist, he decided to stick to his headset. "Well...alright, then. I know what I'm doing." JackHammer moved towards each of the floating icons, listening to the Outsider's description of each that started when JackHammer grew closer to each icon. "Do you choose to be a Soldier and strike down enemies with your steel blade?" "Final-freaking-ly!" The college student sighed as he sent the e-mail. Leaning back in his leather computer chair, Reigner placed a hand on his forehead, gripping his unkempt hair. He sighed, enjoying the moment before sitting straight up and staring at the disc on his desk: Etiam - Fantasy MMORPG. It had arrived that morning, just like Fed-Ex said it would. Pre-ordered months ago, Reigner had waited anxiously for this game. In fact, he wanted to make sure that he would have ample time to get engrossed in it. To that end, the freshman with a slightly-higher-than-average-but-still-nothing-to-brag-about IQ had worked hard on all of his assignments and even worked ahead to give himself a few days of game time. He had planned on finishing his last essay a few days early, but got distracted by Etiam information on-line, specifically the Classes and Races. Homework took a backseat to planning out his Character until he woke up to the deliveryman, prompting him to finish all of his current (and some future) assignments. Now that he was completely done, Reigner decided that it was time. Taking a few minutes to prepare himself, he grabbed a few snacks from his mini-fridge by his desk, a couple of drinks, locked the door at the top of his stairs to alert his parents that he was not to be disturbed, and sat down at his PC, headset-clad. Cracking his knuckles, Reigner booted up the game with a grin on his face. Not an expert gamer by any means, Reigner still considered himself an aficionado and was pretty well-versed in MMOs. Watching the beautiful opening cinematic and going through with the short intro, Reigner acknowledged the outwordly (or should one say, outEtiamly) nature of O.L.I. before noticing his own crimson orb with "Blood-Reign" written over it. Yeah, including your own name in a gamertag wasn't original, but Reigner had his reason for enjoying his name. He studied the other souls for a moment, noticing the name-less black one and chuckling at a few of the usernames, before clicking "Yes." He grinned again, this time whispering to himself: "And the king shall reign."
THE DIVINE CONFLICT BETWEEN HARMONY AND DISCORD RAGES ON,the fate of the world its promised prize. Fighting to secure it are brave souls summoned for that solitary purpose. Champions, cut from a cloth different from those which form the fabric of our world. Relying on what fragments of their shattered memories remain, they fight to end the conflict, and for a chance to return home to the worlds they each once knew. What the hell is this? This is a game. It's KHV's own version of the Playstation Portable game, Dissidia Final Fantasy, made by me with inspiration from the Death Note Game, all of its participants and creators (Special thanks to all members, specifically Pika, for handling it), and inspiration for a turn-based battle thread came from a former member named Slaughtermatic. Well, what's the story? Chaos, god of discord and Cosmos, goddess of harmony, are trapped in an endless cycle of war. Each fights the other, determined to tip the balance of discord and harmony in their favor. To that end, they summon several warriors to fight for their cause. The goal of each warrior is to defeat the other side and eventually finish off Chaos (for a warrior of Cosmos) or Cosmos (for a servant of Chaos). Only one can warrior can fight the discord god or the harmony goddess so at the end of each cycle, the surviving warriors must face each other. After Chaos or Cosmos is slain, the cycle begins anew. How does it work? You will pick a job (or class or theme). Each job has its own specific stats (Bravery, HP, and Speed) and commands.This is similar to a role-play, except you are the character (so no coming up with your own character). Each member will be dubbed by his/her class and username. If I was a Summoner, I'd refer to myself as Summoner Boy Wonder.After enough members join (by picking a job), I will personally assign each player to the side of Chaos or Cosmos (to keep it as balanced as possible).This will be a turn-based battle game. Who goes first depends on speed (and abilities).Each Cycle (round) will have as many mini-rounds until only one player is left. The player will be declared champion and take on Chaos or Cosmos in a little story post I'll type up myself (nobody will actually be playing or fighting these). What's the stages for each Cycle? 1. Warriors are summoned for each side (Members join and I randomly assign them to Chaos or Cosmos).2. Warriors face off against their counterpart (I'll assign opponents randomly).3. Victorious warriors from one side face victorious warriors from the other side until there's only one left (If it's an uneven number, certain warriors will 'betray' their team by switching to the other side. As in, I'll switch people to the other side. You can volunteer if you so wish).4. The remaining warrior will be declared Champion of Cosmos or Chaos and defeat the opposing deity (A little post about the remaining player taking on, fighting, and defeating the opposing deity will be typed up and that player will be declared the winner).5. New Cycle starts over with same and/or new warriors (You can join as the same job or a different job). What are the stats and commands? Spoiler Stats: Bravery (BRV) - The 'Attack' stat. This is how much damage each warrior will inflict on his/her opponent. Each job's Bravery is how much Bravery the warrior will start out the battle with. Bravery can be stolen from an opponent with a normal Attack or successful Block. HP - The 'hit points.' This is how much damage a warrior can take before falling. Only Finishers can affect this stat. Once enough damage and HP reaches 0, the warrior loses. Speed (SPD) - This stat decides which player's move is done first. For example, if Warrior 2 has 15 HP, 20 Bravery, and 10 Speed, and Warrior 1 has 10 HP, 20 Bravery, and 12 Speed, and both use their Finisher, Warrior 1 will attack first because he has the higher speed. Because he has more Bravery than Warrior 2 has HP, Warrior 2 will lose. If Warrior 2 attacked first, Warrior 1 would have lost. Commands: Attack - Steal Bravery from the opponent. This reduces the opponent's Bravery and increases yours. Each class has several Attack abilities, each taking different amount of Bravery. Finisher - Deal damage to the opponent's HP. Amount of damage done is the same as amount of Bravery. Once this is used, Bravery will fall to 0 and will slowly rise to the base Bravery by 33% of the base with each post (so it'd take 3 posts to get back to base Bravery). Bravery can rise faster with successful 'Attacks.' Each class has a regular Finisher and one with a special effect. Block - Block the opponent's attack (with lower Speed) or dodge the opponent's attack (with higher Speed). Blocking will steal 25% of the opponent's Bravery and reduces damage done to you by half. A dodge steals none but takes no damage whatsoever. How does a turn-based battle work? The point of each battle is to steal enough bravery from your opponent to raise yours with a normal Attack or successful Block. Each Finisher will do actual HP damage to your opponent. HP damage is exact same as your current Bravery. Bravery is reduced to 0 with each successful Finisher. Once HP goes reaches 0, the other player wins.The way you fight is by sending me a Private Message with your Command.You have a choice of Attack, Finish, or Block. For Attack and Finish, you must send the specific ability you wish to use.Each turn will be composed of a command from each warrior. Who goes first is determined by Speed (and possibly an ability). If both warriors have the same Speed, the first move will be decided by coin toss or at random unless that ends the match; in which case, an PMed event between the two warriors will decide the first move.If either warrior for any Match goes too long without sending in a command, said warrior forfeits the match, but it will still be typed out, with me (the judge) choosing the commands to deliberately lose. If both warriors neglect to send in a command, then both will be eliminated. So how does this start? First, you pick your job from the list below. If a day has some title(s) that some people celebrate, I consider it a holiday, regardless of whether or not I observe it. Whether or not school is out for the day isn't what defines it as a holiday (there are cultural holidays that aren't nationally recognize for which observant students are still excused). I don't support Columbus Day nor Black Friday for instance, but I understand that others do (though I still think those two should be blacklisted, but that's a different thread altogether). As an Atheist, I don't observe the traditional Christmas, and I'm not the type to get into the commercial-Santa-Claus-Christmas-Carols spirit, though I'll still celebrate the latter. I don't agree with Thanksgivings' history, but I enjoy the way it's celebrated now (the thankful part, not the honoring the actual history part). I call my mother and my aunts on Mother's Day, American and Dominican, and my uncles on the Father's Days as well as greet ("Happy Mother's Day!") people it applies to. Hell, Ask an Atheist isn't a "real" holiday, but there's still events around my town for it; "fun holidays" like that can become more...observed and bigger if enough people end up observing it over time.
Yeah, definitely. I know one thing that changed for me was playing non-original characters. I didn't mind it and I used to enjoy trying to faithfully portray characters, sometimes with my own twist, but now, it feels...weird. I do take inspirations from characters, but I almost refuse to play an existing character. I'm not sure why (nor that I won't at all, but it takes more persuasion for me to play someone non-original than original). A side-effect like that is that I rarely join or make RPs that aren't original. The only exception, pretty much, are superhero RPs (and usually, it's only if I make them myself). There is another exception for this RP, if I ever finish it, but besides that, I stick to original. I also have gone more towards story-driven Rps and not character driven whereas when I first started, I loved the character aspect of it more. I also join less so I can spend more time on certain ones, though it's sometimes not as enjoyable because they're usually more complex than joining 4 simple ones.
