---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Cheshire cat laughed as Base and Beuce began their brotherly feud. "what do you want now?" an agitated Krowley asked. "Alice is safe, and the headless man is gone. What's left for you to ominously mention. Taking a moment to think, he stopped laughing and looked behind him. Severl of the bizzare trees were being knocked down in the distane. He simply smiled and began to recite. "'Twas brilling. And the slithy toves..." The birds of the world were now flocking the scene. "Did gyre and gimble in the wabe. All mimsy were the borogroves..." A mighty, beastly roar was let loose that shook the ground beneath he party, halting everyone to a standstill. "And the mome raths outgrabe." The cat\s body faded, finishing always with his happy-go-lucky smile. From the forest grounds, a bizarre, almost dragon-like looking creature flew through the air and descended in their direction. He doesn't look that fierce, Krowley thought to himself. I mean, it was wearing a sweater. But alas, it's yellow eyes saw prey and it opened it's mouth, wingspan and talons to show that it would not be let down so easily. ~MISSION START~ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The party had reached the palace gate, where Shan-Yu was holding the emperor with a sword to his throat. The sword was rigid and bent, but threatening all the same. "Now you'll bow to me!" he threatened menacingly. The emperor looked at him, but seemed unamused. He was calm and didn't do anything to give the hun the upperhand. Instead, he looked directly at the party, who had arrived in force to stop him. He eyed Mulan who looked confident, but still afraid. An admirable quality, he thought. To look past fear. With Shan-Yu distracted, Shang took the opportunity to descend from the rooftop, and deal a few quick blows to the hun leader. This gave his remaining men the chance to grab the emperor and close the palace doors, safeguarding themselves in the building. Shan-Yu got up and shook his head in anger. He had planned this too long for it to go awry. He charged to the door, but was stopped by Mulan and the other four. Eying that Shang had dropped his blade in his rushed escape, she held it firmly and pointed it at Shan-Yu, preparing to fight with it. "It ends now." she announced. Shan-Yu laughed as a dark aura surrounded him. It seems darkness was on his side...

Like Ars Nova said, we don't know his true intentions aside from the implied beliefs. Recalling past game quotes and motives, it looks like he just wishes to be omniscient with the power to change things. I think this can be further examined when more of Xehanort's past is examined. They had 7 games to build up this final clash, so they should at least allow us to see WHY he does this. If it is for the omniscient reason, it seems he will meet his ends by death by the heroes of light. If by something more sympathetic, perhaps he will meet his end by self sacrifice by epiphany or power overload. (By power overload, I mean Kingdom Hearts consuming Xehanort and creating a powerful, seemingly unstoppable force)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~MISSION COMPLETE~ Clay leveled up! (2) Clay leveled up! (3) AP +1 Learned High Jump! Kross and Clay had reached the top of the tower and had finally reached a sign of end to the staircase. Upon their entry passed the door, they were greeted by the near empty room, with nothing more than a few bookcases and a centered table. A door resided on the opposite side of the entrance, but was encased with the same magical outline as the exit on the bottom level. An odd note that separated this room from the lower level's was the repeated use of hanging stars instead of mirrors. The room was filled with bright, three dimensional star shaped ornaments, hung up like picture frames. As Kross explored and knocked on the wooden table, a gleaming veil covered both exits of the room, trapping them inside. Without warning, the two had become surrounded by heartless. Shadows and Soldiers twitched struggled as they closed in. ~MISSION START~ II. A Defensive Measure Objective: Defeat the heartless and get to the next room! Information: Defeat the x20 shadows and x10 Soldiers Shadows = 1BP Soldiers = 2BP Reward: 160 EXP, 200 Munny -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Keywielder, silly," she kindly replied as she summoned her keyblade. She tilted her head as she peered around the group. "Wow, new faces, huh?" She hadn't recognized recognized anyone but Kel since her previous encounters with him in Nottingham. "Accept for you, of course. Feels like I've seen that face a dozen times by now." She casually swung her keyblade behind her shoulder and analyzed everyone. "Now how do I do this?..." she looked up and scratched the back of her helmet, unsure of a measure she should take that had yet been brought to late to the rest of the party. "Of course! Duh-doi!" Nequa slapped the front of her helmet and dug her keyblade in front of the ground, vanishing within seconds. In hesitation, the group was now unsure of what to do from there. In worry, Mulan drew out the Faa family sword and readied herself. "Mushu!" she called out. He replied to her call by slipping out from behind her neck and breathing fire on to her sword, upping her fire power. The Party learned Fire Strike! "Show yourself!" Mulan demanded. But her fierce look of determination was undone as a short wind extinguished the fire in her sword and was turned to shock as the woman in purple armor re-appeared behind her. "Boo!" Without warning, she took her hand that held the sword, and lightly twisted it behind her back. "Mulan!" Mushu called out and was about to blast some fire at Nequa, but was effortlessly flicked aside by the dark apprentice. Mulan struggled, but couldn't release her type grip. "Did Shan-Yu put you up to this?" "Shan-who?" she asked. "Oh right! Mr. Ineedtogetsomesun. Yeah, no, I just helped for a common goal." "Then what is it you want? Who are you?!" The woman paused and took a moment to really think on those two questions. Almost stalling with the amount of time she took. "My Name is Nequa... I just needed Honor." With a soft chuckle, she vanished once more and released Mulan from her grip. Mushu came to and rushed to his girl's side. "Girl, you alright?! I'm sorry I couldn't-" "I'm fine," she interrupted. She rubbed her sore arm and looked at the palace, where Shan-Yu's heartless had occupied Shang and his shoulders, giving him the opportunity to hold a sword to the emperor's throat. Already making demands. "Come on! The emperor needs us!" She rushed forwards, ignoring any injury she may have obtained. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Horseman had Alice's cage on standby as she was held right next to the doorknob, who's face as it was, was now on the opposite side of the door. With no where else to gallop off to, the horseman began to open a dark corridor with his hand, when a fire spell hit it. He let out a fierce growl of a grunt and turned his shoulders to the group approaching. At this time, Alice was tinkering away at the lock of the cage. "Oh I simply must get out!" The doorknob raised an eyebrow as he was listening in from less than a foot away. "Out? But you're already outside," the doorknob assured. Alice was shaking the bars, but the notion grabbed her attention. "What?" "See for yourself," the doorknob opened his keyhole of a mouth and showed that Alice was sleeping somewhere far off in a field of flowers, under the shade of a large oak tree. "Why... Why That's me! I'm asleep." Alice was shocked and felt a sigh of both relief and endangerment. What if she could never wake up? The horseman was occupied by the group for only seconds, as flaming pumpkins were summoned into his hands and thrown in front of the party, blocking their chances of reaching Alice. He laughed maniacally as he summoned his corridor, and grabbed the cage. Alice's attention returned tot he matter at hand as the headless man grabbed the cage. "Alice, wake up. Please wake up Alice!" She repeated to herself. She closed her eyes tight and recited to herself continuously until she began faded from the inside of the cage and disappeared off to who know where. The horseman had not caught sight of what happened and laughed maniacally as he charged through his corridor with the empty cage in hand, shutting the dark corridor behind him. The group was left stunned as the fire from the horseman's pumpkins extinguished from his departure. If tht gir was asleep... was this world created in her own mind?
~MISSION COMPLETE~ Karina leveled up! (17) Shang turned to find Mulan and the party chasing after them. Yao, Chien-Po and Ling were with him as well. "Shan-Yu is alive! He's headed this way!" Shang looked unamused. "And why should I believe you this time?" Shang was still hurt from her previous lie on the withheld information of being a woman. He had little time for false warnings. From overhead, Shan-Yu's falcon screeched overhead, flying in the direction of the imperial palace. The group watched as it landed atop Shan-Yu's shoulder. If Shang hadn't believed them before, he must have now. The party was just as shocked though. How did he beat them there."Guard the palace! Do not let the enemy get anywhere near the emperor! That's an order!" Shang barked. Upon retrieval, his soldiers charged to the palace gat, followed closely by Shan-Yu. The party was prepared to follow when a familiar voice echoed behind. "Aww, don't tell me I missed the raid!" Turning around they found Nequa in her enigmatic armor, crossed arms and tapping foot. As impatient and odd as ever. -------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The madness is setting in nicely," The Cheshire cat commented from up above. He maintained his toothy grin and wide open eyes when saying the sentence. Krowley was beyond irritated to hear more of his words, but he might have known where the horseman went. At lest Base had finally awoken. That was a start. He didn't here what Beuce was saying, nore did he think he wanted to. "If you'd really like to know, he went that way." The Cheshire cat pointed to straight to the path leading to the White Rabbit's house. "Who did?" Krowley asked to confirm. "The Horseman." Krowley sighed that he had gotten a straight answer for once. "Alright, let's go get him." "Get who?" the cat asked. Krowley held his tongue attempting not to bait him. "Thanks," he simply replied. "Oh but I have yet to give you it!" The Party received Vorpal Blitz! "you should really thank me one in a while. That's manners." the cat faded. With a new technique, he continued forward in hopes of apprehending the fiend. --------------------------------------------------------

~MISSION COMPLETE~ Cat leveled up! (11) Eon leveled up! (17) Kuzco rushed along the table, ignoring Ananta's warning. "Come on, come on, where is it? Where is it!? It has to be one of these..." He began clumsily fiddling with each beaker, looking at the small shadowed outline of each animal. "Lions, tigers, bears..." He kept rummaging past each bottle and froze in his tracks as a voice appeared from behind him. "Looking for this?" In her hand, Yzma was shown, stepping from the shadows, and holding the human imprinted potion. She held a very smug look on her face, knowing she had all the cards. "Hey, we don't want any trouble! Juz hand over la potion and we won't need to get violent!" Panshito held up both pistols, with Jose and Donald at the ready. "Great, traitors. Just what I need. Why are you three even against me! The kingdom is fine! Better than fine! Since Kuzco's been gone no one's complaining anymore." "Well that's kind of because you uhhh, went and enslaved them all..." Kronk interjected. "Kraank!!! They don't need to know that." "Plus you know you don't even offer them dental, and the food plan is-" Yzma planted her hand over her forehead. "Kronk. We're going to kill them anyway. They don't need to know." She tossed him a knife while she turned back to Kuzco. "Well, back to business." Kuzco quivered with his llama neck down. "Okay, I admit it. Maybe I wasn't as nice as I should have been. But, Yzma, do you really want to kill me?" Yzma grinned. "Just think of it as you're being let go... that your life's going in a different direction... that your body's part of a permanent outplacement." Still fixated on the knife, Kronk looked up. "Hey, that's kind of like what he said to you when you got fired. " Once again, Yzma sighed. "I know. It's called a cruel irony... like my dependence on you." She tapped her fingertips together menacingly and called back to Kronk. "Okay. Finish them off." She turned back to Kronk again talking to his shoulders. "Well, Yzma just tossed me this knife and asked me to, you know, take them out. And then this guy popped up and then we waited for you, and quite honestly..." Yzma pointed back to him with a hysterical look. Was... was he really doing this now? "Kronk! Why did I think you could do this? This one simple thing. It's like I'm talking to a monkey. A really, really big stupid monkey named Kronk! And do you want to know something else? I've never liked your spinach puffs." At that moment, the tall henchman's heart broke as he clutched his heart. "Never!" she ended. She moved a step forward and pushed her heel against two booby trapped stones that caused holes to appear beneath Kronk, Panchito, Jose and Donald, causing them all to cry out as they fell far down below. Yzma looked pretty surprised. "Funny. That was only supposed to work for one of them. Oh well, better hurry this along. I'm expecting company you know. She cackled as she stepped on another stone, causing a giant machine to rise up from beneath her. ~MISSION START!~
The new trailer actually reminded me of Wicked for some reason. Just the music and sisterly care I guess. Agreeing with Cstar that the direction and feel is very similar to Tangled. They've expectedly changed a lot from the original format, but I think one of the things that bother me most is how everything seems "current" in way of speech and how a lot seems derived from Tangled. It's a good formula, but I'd like to see something more than the "princess protagonist accompanied by a dashing future love interest" dynamic. In the story as a whole, I'm more interested in the Snow Queen herself; Elsa, since I favor the more struggling characters. Animation wise, I wish again, they went with another direction like Paperman. Combing 2D and 3D animation, it would be nice to see in something that's trying to be emotional. I hope in they take the time to do this in future films.
Krowley felt a burst of rejuvenation from Base's cure. He nodded to the mystic and continued to what little card soldiers remained. There were only 3 left, actually. The ten, eleven, and twelve of hearts. They held their spears and held firm their ground. For a fate worse than being knocked out by blades, is having your head chopped off by one. "For the Queen!" the ten yelled out. "For the Queen!" the eleven and twelve replied in unison. Holding their spears like jousts, they gave a charging waddle against Krowley, who had both full health and a wind barrier that halved damage. He was almost sympathetic for these poor cards. They didn't seem to want to be here more than he did. Not wanting to do anything fancy, he figure he should end it quickly and end any stressful suffering they might have been put through. He guarded all three of their charges and began to flail away with the keyblade. Using some quick fencing maneuvers, he executed his combos and put the poor suffering cards to rest, knocking them out and watching each one float to the floor, like a sheet of paper. ~MISSION COMPLETE~ EXP Writer Bonus Base gained 79 EXP. Luna leveled up! (16) The Queen of Hearts angrily pounded her gavel. "Unacceptable! Off with their heads!" Breathing heavily, she took he time to look around and found that all her henchmen had been knocked down and there was no one for her to command. The only follower left was the White Rabbit, who was hiding beneath a podium. "You there! Protect your Queen!" she commanded. The white rabbit timidly looked up at the Alice and the four party members. He was stunned and didn't wish to poke his head out. He didn't have to, as another dark portal appeared above the queen's judge throne. "Don't let them take my heart!" she cried out, fleeing from her seat. She jumped under the podium with the White Rabbit and looked shy over the counter top to see the horse rider emerge from the darkness. This was the first time they had seen him fully aside from the quick flashes from earlier. The man wore all black clothing, including boots and a cape. Even his horse was black. But the most chocking thing about him, was his lack of head. The horseman had no head to be seen, but continued his taunting laughs. He charged forwards, blasting back the keybladers and took the cage Alice was trapped in. He cackled and fled deep into the forest. The girl they were protecting was taken from them in one fell swoop. Who was this person and what did he want with Alice? The Queen was now stunned and continue spouting; "Off! Off with his head!" "But your majesty, he has no head to... behead!" the White rabbit added. ~MIsSION START!~ (OOC - I know I wanted to write for all worlds, but stuff has come up recently.
