Hey there <3
I have actually come across that kind of situation a few times before, and I have got involved before. One time a few months ago I was walking home across the park and there was a group of teenagers (girls and guys mixed) beating up this one kid. He had two friends with him who were trying to get him out of it, but understandably they were wary about getting into the fight itself. Me and another woman pretty much yelled at them and threatened to call the police unless they broke it off. They did and stood around looking moody and swearing at us whilst we got the boy up to his feet and he went off home with his friends. Another time two guys from the year above me in school had cornered this kid who was several years younger and were forcing him to sing and tell jokes. If he didn't they were hitting him. I chased them off and got the kid home. If I can help, then I will help. Obviously there are times when it is completely over my head and my involvement would do nothing.I'm not magic, I'm only human and whilst I feel **** when I can't help, you can only do what you can do. So I guess for me it depends on the situation and I do have to say if I had my niece, nephew or younger sister with me, I wouldn't risk them. Sounds cruel to put someone else above whoever is having the crap beaten out of them, but I'd put my family first every time.
I like her a lot, her music is catchy and fun. However, I think that she is becoming over-hyped and over-whored. It has become "cool" to like her and I am actually getting tired of hearing about her now. I admire her courage to always be so daring, but sometimes I think she tries too hard.
