This. Lowercase and uppercase is a thing that doesn't usually happen in character-based languages, and they're likely a stylistic choice or a thing that makes people realize HEY THIS IS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE. Although I do doubt that someone would mistake it for a weird kanji; while there are like a bajillion kanji, there's a standard set of about 2,500 used in every-day media, and anything that doesn't use those kanji would use kana or romaji, or at least have the furigana over it. On top of the fact that in most asian countries, English is a standard high school class.

I ran Malwarebytes and that didn't do jack all, so I ran it again, booted up in safe mode, and did a system restore to about two days ago. That seems to have worked.
