Have you seen the photo of him coming out of the sea wearing nothing but swim shorts while scratching himself? :v
Is there anything you do that makes you less attractive? <3
I think it's funny that an actor who managed to secure the star role in a major and successful film series is hated and derided by so many just because he was in that series. Everyone makes mistakes, doesn't make them bad actors. Also, he is hawt =3
Seconded .
That is when the Anthropic Principle turns to arrogance. When people say that if there is no observer then it is irrelevant and might as well not exist. If it were not for the countless reactions and interactions taking place (especially the ones we can't see) we would not be alive. Are they irrelevant because no-one is looking at them? No. Same can be said for a universe without sentient life. I'm not like arguing against you by the way, just clarifying a point for others xD Wouldn't want you to get the wrong impression ;D
Not necessarily, and certainly not permanently. The mistake was making it so high in the first place. If it was lowered now everyone would automatically buy loads because it is suddenly available and it would be a mess. Whereas if they had started at 18 there would be no problem.
I suppose he means that puns are a classic form of comedy.
The universal gravitational force is constant and has been constant since it separated shortly after the expansion (the four fundamental forces [strong, weak, electromagnetic and gravity; with gravity being the weakest by far] separated into separate forces with separate properties after the event). The reason it is a value that seems so attuned to the existence of life is because if it wasn't then we probably wouldn't be here to notice (good ole Anthropic Principle kicking in again). The reason for this is that wars are fought over religion. People are willing to give their lives for something that has little factual basis beyond what they were taught as children. It is dangerous and in my mind wrong.
What we come from is that if we see a complex machine we assume that a human being has sat down and designed it, not that it formed itself over time. It is a completely false analogy when it comes to the universe. The main difference being the sheer timescale. Another analogy that is used is that if you were walking through a field and found a watch you wouldn't assume that it had grown or had formed. You would assume that it had been assembled by a watchmaker. Again, false analogy.
I laughed far harder than I should have. I tip my hat to you sir.
And I thought I was slow...................
Good point.
I thought that joke was considerably more sophisticated and high brow than it turned out to be =/ Ah well, there goes my faith in humanity.
Drop and DO A BARREL ROLL
They are a member of the legume family. Legume meaning vegetable in French >_>
Apparently peanuts are not technically nuts. They are more closely related to some other food apparently :v
I think people are blowing that announcement out of proportion. From what I understand of the definition of a pandemic, it isn't that bad. It just means that it can spread from person to person in several communities/countries. Says nothing about deaths etc Although, the resident GP on the Breakfast news programme this morning said that in the absolute worst case scenario 2.5% of those affected would die. Taking the normal infection rate of flu pandemics (30% of the total population) that would be about 750,000 people in the UK alone.
You live in Russia? :S
Shotgun .
Done that earlier today. It really isn't that impressive, or helpful.
