I have a few ideas already; they have gotten rid of numerous popular female characters, Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown -- for no conceivable reason than to stifle their female audience, and rid them of role models. they have retconned 90% of Tim Drake's backstory, including his time as Robin III. they have erased Ted Kord from the DCU, thereby erasing Booster Gold's character development as well. they have killed too many characters for the sake of Bruce Wayne's character development (cite: Jason Todd, Damian Wayne, etc.); they have refused their other characters the proper respect they deserve (if you ain't Batman, you don't matter). they have allowed the likes of Rob Liefeld to draw for them, whose sense of human anatomy is sorely lacking. I could go on, and on, and on...
