I usually just go down the list, leaving name and biography (if required) for the end.
I love looking for appearances. Takes me a while, but it's fun for me.

I dislike seeing 'bio' in a skeleton. It's tedious and I think it's a bit silly. Of course I don't mind if people NEED to write a biography, but you can do that on your own, I think. Putting it in a skeleton means your past and such is all decided at the start and shared with everyone else, before you get into the flow of the RP and character dynamics. Your whole backstory is already decided, which is natural, but like...that means everyone in your role play knows your story already. Even if your characters haven't even interacted, the RPer behind the character(s) already know everything.

Doesn't leave much room to, let's say...several pages into your RP, you are struck with creativity and inspiration and would like to add like a plot twist or turn to your character's past. Well, their past is already written out and submitted and everyone in that RP already knows everything. It also makes things a bit less interesting to me. Instead of being drawn into interacting with a character to get to know more about them or their situation, I just have to go to the OOC thread or whatever and find the bio they wrote. Isn't very...exciting or anything.

I honestly like really simple character sheets. I basically just want to know your name and appearance. Everything else is motivation to get more involved in the role play and actually get to know a character. Very rarely, before you read a book or watch a movie is there a section in the beginning that tells you basically everything you need to know about the character. You find out through the work and the actual journey and natural progression of things.
Wanted to address this, sorta (not as a debate, just my opinion on the same thing).
I've put 'sexuality' in my character sheets, and the reason I've done it is because it promotes diversity in that area. In my experience, it's kind of...'standard' to make a heterosexual character, even if you're homosexual / whatever. I find that when you actually put 'sexual orientation' or something in your character sheet, you end up with a larger variety of orientations, as people understand there's a choice in the matter and that I'm not going to say, "Sorry can you make your character straight?"

I also add it, sometimes, so that people know before they sign up that there will be non-heterosexual characters (or how many are signed up). Unfortunately, there are still a handful of people in the roleplaying community who are turned off by anything that's not 'straight'. I like people to know right off the bat what they're walking into, so no one is put in a highly uncomfortable situation.

When it comes to 'limitation', unless it's a biography (because suddenly changing what you said about their past is just plain inconsistent), I think that it's not so much the sexuality that limits, but yourself. If I have a straight female character who falls in love with another female, and that's the natural progression of things, unlike your past, you can actually change it with something as simple as "I've never felt this way before, I thought I was straight but now I don't know." Sexuality can be changing thing, I think. I would have said I was straight ten years ago. I've gone through like four different sexualities on the journey of ~finding myself~ and growing up. I think a lot of people who aren't closed minded to that sort of thing go through something like that.
So while I understand what you're saying in that regard, I don't think you have to feel limited if there's a sexuality section of a CS. If you really think you're going to have a majorly tough time with it, you can always say 'unknown' or 'unsure', which are perfectly valid choices.

I enjoyed Angel Beats, but it didn't make me ... emotional, really? Most people I know who watched it say it was super sad and whatnot...It's weird, I usually cry at the drop of a hat, but not with Angel Beats.

Only part that made me kind of feel sort of emotional was when Yui and Hinata were all like...well, you know. That whole disappearing scene with her backstory and his 'I'LL MARRY YOU'. But I felt that their relationship developed way too quickly. Like, the pacing was weird to me idk.
At the end I legitimately told myself "wow this is so sad" hoping to spark some sort of emotional within me, but I guess I just didn't care about Kanade at all, or her relationship with Otonashi. //terrible person

    Hi.

Moving this to April 6th. My job is being...weird. I don't have the weekends off anymore. I have Wednesday and Thursday off, instead. I get out of work at 3pm my time (it's like 9:40pm here). I'll unlock the KN thread tomorrow and you'll have until April 4th to get them to me.

Here's how it will probably go down (subject to change)... On April 6th, KN will air at 6pm my time (9pm est), assuming I work. Then I may have KN air again on Sunday, April 7th, at 6pm EST for anyone who misses it because I know you guys were addicted to 6pm.

    Yoooo. END ARK (lol) 2.

Please take this time to evaluate some things, come up with some fresh ideas, maybe new characters--if you'd like. The new opening will be posted when Days reopens, so if you would like to make a new character that would be in that video, please do so before I post again saying I'm not accepting anymore more (until the video is up).

So. Overall I rate this C+. You guys got it together towards the end. Let's try to take that last minute mentality and kind of...spread it out, some, yeah?

I'll be making a declaration video and killing some people, during the break, so look out for that. I'll also clean up the thread / catch-up on updates and whatnot.

Thanks to everyone who actively participated tonight. Let's try and come back 3x as strong, okay? Make the break count!! Recharge!

Blood poured from her nose like a fountain and Madeline's hands shook. Not properly secured, the mask kind of hung off of her face. She gazed at the fallen cave entrance and found herself just a little...sad. Theodore. Squish. Reminded her of someone. Gazing around, she noticed that the other trucks were no where in sight. They had left them. HAHA. How expected! She wondered if Quin or Thomas had even though twice about it. Those fucking bastards. Honestly, she could imagine being left alone to die. But Elliot, and Heidi...They had people who really cared about them, didn't they?

She looked at them. They seemed relatively alright.

Madeline felt faint. Without waiting, she put on a suit and tried her best to handle the obviously broken nose she'd be sporting, before securing the mask. Her covered fingers were covered in blood by the end of it.

Oh ****, she felt really faint. She took a seat where she stood and then curled into a ball, completely passing out.

Madeline glared behind them, watching FOR Theodore. Of course, the cave was collapsing in on itself. They must have--those men--must have planted explosives. Her heart was about to burst from her chest and she started to hyperventilate. Without warning, Theodore swore and swerved the truck. The strawberry blonde watched in agony as the other two trucks made it to safety. If only her legs were faster than a truck. But now, Theodore was driving backwards. Why?

"So, I am going to do something that is going to suck for you guys. Please take the masks and the suits, and anything else you can grab, and pull yourself up onto the roof."

Theodore was speeding, but the cave in was too fast. Rubble was already smashing into the front of the truck.

"I-I am going to slam on the b-brakes and you guys need to use that momentum to propel forward and MOVE. Run, crawl, however you land, just don't stop. You u-understand? Just MOVE."

Madeline wouldn't be the one to ask about his own safety. She grabbed a mask and pulled it over her face, and was already climbing out of the 'windows' and clinging to the back of the jeep, where the extra tire was kept as soon as he finished his sentence.

When he hit the brakes, away she flew, right onto her face. She then scrambled up and ran as fast and as far as she could at the point.

Nope. Madeline ducked down as arrows started to fly and Theodore hit the floor. Why. She covered her head and face and kept down.

Theodore wasn't surprised to see Quin pointing her bow at him. Of course, mutiny. These rotten, selfish--oh, shit. He braced himself, but the arrows whizzed past him. He heard a thud and whipped around. Three...scientists? Had they been in the back room that whole time? Why were they... Theodore shook his head. He wouldn't be going back for any more masks. Using Quin's arrows as a distraction, he ran towards his truck and threw the masks and stuff into the back.

Let's go. Gogogogo. DRIVE AWAY IF YOU CAN.
He sounded calmer than he felt, at first. The tunnel exploded into light. Two of the scientists had been shot successfully, but one of them still held a strange weapon. He had seen it before, in the labs, but was never interested in what it did. He regretted not being more involved in his father's studies at this point. Never the less, he made sure Quin was back in her truck before slamming down on the gas and towards one of the tunnels that would lead them out into the open.

The other two trucks were in front of him now.
JUST KEEP GOING, OKAY? IF YOU HEAR WATER, YOU'RE GOING TO THE WRONG WAY.
He tried to yell over the sound of trucks and explosions coming from being him. He didn't want to look behind him. Crap, what could he do to make sure those in his truck got out safely?

Theodore exited the truck quickly and searched around the back for a flashlight. He shook it once or twice and the light flickered on. Without hesitation, he entered the tunnel alone like a badass. When he reached the end, there was a single white door. Several system override pass-codes later and he was inside. He turned on the light and began the search for the gas masks and such.

They were a bit heavy to carry, and he would no doubt need to return...He could only get grab 4 on his own. He held the flashlight between his chin and the stack of masks atop the suits and took a deep breath. He still wasn't feeling so good, but now wasn't the time to rest, so he hurried back.

S = Storage. Food, blankets, water, maybe some weapons can be found at these locations.

E = Elevator shaft. Most will be empty, or will not open without a passcode.

DARK RED = Big tunnel for a truck to drive through.

QUESTION MARK = You haven't explored here yet.

YOU = Where MOST of you guys are, or the 'camp' is.

    BROWN S = Sewers. Ew.

Madeline had been in one of the corners of the cave brooding in the darkness. She was tired, and thirsty, and irritated. The air down here was giving her a headache. She had to commend them all for finally getting Theodore's medicine to him. He seemed alright, for the most part. Almost too alright, for someone who had been out that long. She glared at him. She didn't trust him much anymore, but they needed to get out of here and he was the one who could do that for them.

Her cheek rested on her knees until he revved up the car. Quietly, she pulled herself up and moved to the back of one of a truck, carrying some extra supplies. She was tired. Theodore got into one truck to drive, probably to lead them, so she got into the back of that one. Best bet. She listened to him greet Ellio-twat like a homo. John still laid on the floor motionless. She nearly spat on him. While sitting in the back, she started to wash herself up with the contents of the case she had made sure to grab. It felt nice. Not a shower, definitely, but nice.

Theodore backed out of the cave and turned on the headlights, not taking his time at all. She felt sick. As they drove, she glared at the back of his head, oblivious to whoever else was in the vehicle.

"Say, Theodore...What was in that glass? Or, um. The vial you drank?"

He shrugged, keeping his eyes on the road without falter. "Something my father has always had me take. Medicine, he calls it. I can usually go a bit longer with out, but under high levels of stress...I don't know why, but I need it."

    Suspicious. Or maybe...?

Madeline shut her mouth until they stopped right in front of the entrance to another tunnel.

"Trucks won't make it through here." He muttered, getting out of the truck. "I'll bring the stuff back, don't worry about it. You guys stay in the trucks."

With that, he disappeared into the darkness.

Oh, right. Benjamin is probably dead. Other than that, I don't know about everyone else!

He'd be lying if he said he could remember who Ben was, but he didn't have enough energy to feel guilty about that.

Theo, I need the trucks accessible and ready to go, I've gotta meet Marina on the surface to go pick up some fugitives. I told her I'd be there.

Marina was alive! ...He shook his head and stepped to the trucks quietly. The blonde bead guy was laying slouched in one of them. He gently patted his shoulder, but he was unresponsive. There was really no time to waste, so Theodore just kind of... yanked him out of the truck, not bothering to see if that had woken him up or not, and took a seat. His fingers glided across the control panel, and he pressed his palm to it. He had always hated how needlessly protected everything was. After moment or two of scanning, yet another number pad popped up for a code. He typed it in and the engine started.

" It is nice to see you among the living again, Mr. Weldon."

    Thanks,
He did the same for the other two trucks and stepped away.

We need to gather everyone else and then head out of here, I think...Wait, how bad is it up there? Radiation? Has there been more bombings? If anyone knows. There's an area down here we can go to get some gas masks and other protective wear.

Theodore sputtered, green eyes snapping open to a dim figure hovering above him. His tongue and throat burned, and the familiar scorching trickled it's way down into his stomach...His mostly empty stomach. The cotton candy scent was overwhelming. He needed to hurl, but had enough wits about him to register Harley's pale brown eyes gazing down at him. It would have to wait, so he took a hard swallow and mentally willed his stomach to calm down. Ooh, this was terrible.

Slowly, the dark haired boy pulled himself up. He didn't remember what had happened exactly, but besides the nausea sweeping over him, he felt relatively fine.

Somehow, Harley had gotten a hold of his medicine. That was good, maybe. Elliot would have been the only one to know of it, though. He would have to thank all of them...right after he emptied his stomach. Words weren't coming to him right now. Instead of trying to speak, he brought himself up to his feet and took a deep breath or humid air.

The bones in his arms and legs felt like jello, and his muscles quaked beneath his flesh. Still, he was able to take a series of baby steps to reach the storage area and grab a black plastic bag. He knelt in a corner of the den and threw his face into the bag, waiting exactly three minutes before allowing himself to vomit inside.

It was mostly fluids. He hadn't been eating much, apparently.

He was hardly surprised, though. They were underground. They had made it. That much he knew. And, they were at the second storage base. The one with the trucks. ...A glance over his shoulder confirmed this. Theodore hadn't spent an enormous amount of time down here, if he were honest. Each time he had been had been in the company of his father. Usually with construction workers, or other scientists. He wasn't exactly allowed down here, either, but because he didn't show the highest enthusiasm when it came to Dr. Timothy's works, the man was quite lax when it came to the pass-codes and such. How lucky for him.

Theodore took a few more moments to himself to grab a hard metal case from the storage area and place it on the ground. He turned a few dials at the top, and one of the sides lit up into a glowing red keyboard. After punching in a few numbers, the case popped open. He lifted his gaze to whoever was paying attention. The case had travel toothbrushes, toothpaste, mints, souffle cups, gum, floss, soap, razors, mouth wash, and sanitary wipes. He took a brush and a small tube of paste. Then, he took a large bottle of water and set it down in front of the case. His thumb and index finger almost came together; his way of telling them to only use a bit of the water.

Once filling up one of the souffle cups with the bottled water, Theodore took his place in the corner and brushed his teeth. He felt filthy. He then flossed, swished mouthwash and wiped his face and hands.

    Now he was feeling better.

Theodore stood and returned to the rest of them, clearing his throat and muttering a hoarse:

Thank you. Sincerely. For taking care of me.

He took a look around and sighed, exasperatedly.

Where is everyone else?He didn't want to say it, but he was afraid they had all perished somehow.

Madeline was done with the conversation, but Thomas pursued her. Before she had a moment to really wind down, he had knelt in front of her and was peering at her with those beautiful blue eyes. For a moment, she felt guilty for being so hard on him. He didn't understand, and things were probably better that way. Thomas was a good person. One of the few...Or, so he seemed. She wondered how someone like him got caught up in such a terrible game.

"What's up? I want to know what I did. After all, one of these guys might save your life so how can we not use that?"

A smile fell upon her face. Ah, so he knew, and was trying to appeal to her. She shook her head. This was not the place for such a conversation, and she was done with it.

"Never mind, Thomas. You've done nothing wrong."

Now they were discussing moving camps, so Madeline pulled herself up and gathered a few things she could carry with her. She waited for Thomas to do the same before making the trip to their new set up.
